  1. Nice piece. I know I've seen bracelets like this before... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VINTAGE-ROLEX-DOUBLE-RED-SEADWELLER-1665-PATENT-PENDING-/140470831702?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item20b4b6ca56
  2. You'll need the model number to reference the correct plexi. I have an oddball size nos (gen of course) crystal. Measure the diameter and I'll let you know if it matches. JJ
  3. Great write-up RG, your technical explanations and photographs are always a pleasure to see here on the forum. Details like this are never seen on the gen forums. Thanks for taking the time to share this info with our membership.
  4. You're assuming that the one on the bay is real. That particular case has been there before, and fully discussed elsewhere
  5. 702 crowns are still pretty easy to find. It's the other part that's a [censored] to locate.
  6. I'm not surprised to hear that the yuki case is NG. For anyone wishing to build a quality franken, I would definitely recommend staying away from the yuki case. When I sourced my components for my 6538 build, I found a 1030 donor watch (I forget which), and I went with a more expensive Vietnam case. Other than that, I used a gen crystal, gen stem, gen crown, gen tube, etc. All in all it turned out to be a great looking watch.
  7. Here's usually a good place to start your first post: http://www.rwgforum.com/forum/163-introductionrulessupport/ ps, welcome aboard
  8. A very thoughtful gift for your wife K, and congrats on your 11th!
  9. I would have thought By-Tor would have been the first to answer! PS: didn't Goldfinger own a golf course?
  10. That's a great looking watch J, nice job!
  11. Hey Panerai153, no need to be sending that crystal to anyone. Here's a link to a thread I wrote about restoring a crystal, but IMO, I love the look of the GEN crystal you already have. If I were you, I would definitely leave it alone
  12. Love the pic By-Tor! One of the things I fondly remember about my first ride in an SCCA prepped 911 was the big tach right in the middle behind the wheel (I think I was about 16yrs old at the time). The only car I ever owned that had a similar dash layout was my TTRX7, and I'm still in the market for a clean 912 if I could ever find one.
  13. Selling some stuff K? ...any chance you may have another one of those underline gilt things?
  14. Nanuq, polish the crystal? IT'S ALREADY PERFECT!
  15. lol, I've got the feeling some serious shilling was going on there. Seriously, who in their right mind would pay 6700 for that thing?
  16. Over $6400 for this?
  17. Easy enough to check, just contact Kamal and ask him if it's real
  18. I personally would stay away from the GMT movements (unless of course you go for this one)
  19. ...and old lp's, some poeple have those too
  20. The flat crystal looks very nice on your daytona fw, and it definitely makes the dial more visible. I'll admit though that daytona crystals are a matter of personal preference among aficionados. I did just the opposite. I took the flat 21 off my daytona and sold it, and replaced it with a nos dome.
  21. Hey Capt, IMO does it really matter? I'm not knocking either one, but let's face it, both are fake. IMO, if you enjoy the build, love the hunt, etc, you might be better off looking for a gen dial to drop in.
  22. Very nice monster MM, do you dive with it?
  23. OMG! Stephane, you sold your gen 1680???
  24. Wow, that's nice Jkay, I can see why you like it so much. I love the unique 60's font on the dial
  25. Lol, I love your disclaimer Ronin!
