  4. The ludicrous prices of vintage Rolex watches and parts means this is an inevitable consequence. Its a reality check. Hopefully people paying 3k for a painted disc with Rolex written on it will become a thing of the past and put the 3k into something a bit more meaningful ,... Cheers P.

  15. oh yeah i forgot about the hand set up. You can order from http://www.cousinsuk.com i ordered this lot and it worked fine. No need for movement strip down so probably didn't use centre seconds fourth wheel. Date wheel overlay was not a problem either. Cannon Pinion With Drive Wheel Height 2.90mm ( 242 ), ETA 2890 (ETA2890242H290) £4.10 each Double Toothed Hour Wheel, Height 2.04mm ( 2558 ), ETA 2893.2 (ETA289322558H204) £2.88 each Hour Wheel 24 Hour Height 1.19mm ( 251 ), ETA 2893.2 (ETA28932251H119) £3.76 each Fourth Wheel Centre Seconds, Height 5.61mm ( 227 ), ETA 2890 (ETA2890227H561) £3.03 each Cheers P.
  16. Hi John, i built a friend of mine a 1675 using this movement from this seller. No problems with it at all. Its a standard grade ETA (they have 3 different quality grades) but the guy is a top notch seller. You can read about ETA grades here ... http://watchotaku.com/display/swr/ETA+grades Here's some pics: Good luck with the project Cheers P.
  17. Nice one Nanuq, i was going to ask where you got your hands. Mine are from CWP but the minute hand is too fat. My problem is Mr Slimeball won't ship to China so if anyone ordering a set and can add one for me i will send you money and shipping costs. Cheers P.
  18. That would be an awesome 1680 red
  19. True, but just wanted to show overall quality. If TC are supposed to be gen spec then using both the Clark crystal retaing ring and bezel shouldn't be a problem. Maybe using the TC retaining ring and Clark bezel is where the problem lies in the fit. Cheers P.
  20. I just got mine and installed on my Euromariner cased LV. Quality is pretty good, the crystal retaining ring is much better quality than the stock Euromariner one. The problem is the actual click and fit. It doesn't click like a gen in fact its almost silent. Also its a little sloppy. I tried beding the click spring so it would engage the teeth more but didn't make much difference. I don't have a gen insert but my aftermarket fits well but still needed to be cemented in. So conclusion is it looks good and quality is up there but action is poor. But for the money you can't really complain... Here the pics: Cheers P.
  21. Nice collection, i'm a big fan too .... And DWO are a big problem to find good ones Cheers for sharing P.
