  1. Good vintage overlays are hard to come by especially as the flaws are noticeable in the cyclops. The silver cartel one are pretty bad for that. I just brought a couple of gen vintage ones with the right date rotation, they do exist. Problem is making them thin enough to use as an overlay. i destroyed one trying to work it on my 1675. Yuki supposedly has the movement holders ... Cheers P.
  2. 1 sec to do 1.2 sec to completely [censored] it up. If you've never done before practise on an old case first if you have one ... P.
  3. Forget dial dots, they're crap. Tell your modder to use hypo cement to glue a dial spacer to the movement then glue the dial to the spacer. It should give enough clearance for the datewheel to move freely and the dial will be secure. A plastic movement ring won't work because you need a solid platform for the movement clamps and screws. Get a new movement holder from Yuki and maybe a new modder too ... Cheers P.
  4. Damn i knew you were gonna say that I think i gonna change the crown too so will do same time Cheers P.
  5. Thanks Alligoat. Great thing with using a 2893 is that it all lines up in the case like a gen plus the datewheel overlay fits under the GMT gear so no binding like with a 2836. The spacer ring is from Rafflestime but i had to shave it down with a dremel to make it fit, best get one from Yuki it seems. Taller pinnions are a must on all the 2893's i've used Cheers P.
  6. Thanks mate. Actually its not a Phong bezel, i'm sure his would work with a gen insert. I was trying to keep costs down so only got the Phong mid-case. Bezel came from Ebay seller World_time_inc who asks $350 for the whole assembly i offered him much lower and he accepted. Cheers P.
  7. Thanks mate, you really started something here .... i just softened all the sharp edges on the whole case, cg's are as is. Thought about taking a little off of the inside of them but decided not to .. Cheers P.
  8. Been there done that, its contagious all right ... Nice deal P.
  9. Ok after a long time gathering parts and having work done my 1675 is finally here so glad this thread is still going. Here are the specs. - Phong mid case - World_time_inc bezel assembly from Ebay. Expensive (i didn't pay what they were asking) and doesn't fit a gen insert. I had to shave this one and bleached it too. Not recommended - Gen 116 tropic - Raffles time caseback - ETA top grade 2893-2 GMT movement with taller GMT, hour, minute and second pinnions installed. - Gen tube and 5.3 mm crown (not sure about that crown) - Gen dial relumed by Vac - CWP handset with Gen 1675 GMT hand relumed by Vac - Datewheel from early MBW - Rep jubilee bracelet with gen endlinks and clasp Pics: Thanks for looking P.
  10. I used a standard rep ring and got the dremel on it to make it fit but if Yuki sells them thats good ... 2893-2 Movement fits perfect in Phongs case Cheers P.
  11. It has at least two links missing which is good size for ladies only which is why is why it hasn't sold i guess ...
  12. Can you also post pics of your 1655 case, will be useful also Cheers P.
  13. its a 1570 movement with the rotor assembly removed
  14. case looks too thin, more like a 1675 than a 1680 .. Cheers for posting useful to see P.

  16. Can you please tell what the "outrageous amount of money" was Cheers P.
  17. not sure how far you have got but i attempted this mod with a Zodiac movement and found it pretty much an impossibility .... good to hear from your experience Cheers P.
  18. I queued up behind a very beautiful woman in 7-11 yesterday paying her utility bills wearing the gen of this .... fantastic looking watch, especially on a womans wrist Cheers P.
  19. To the rescue again, thanks mate. PM me if you need details ... Cheers P.
  20. Thanks but i need a dial spacer not the rings. It leave a small space for the datewheel to work ... is this what you have ? Cheers P.
  21. Yes good bracelet for your Tudor and a good price. No issue with missing link if it fits your wrist, if it doesn't you gotta find a spare link which could cost you another 30 bucks ... Cheers P.
  22. Gen for sure but missing a link and a bit stretched. Has the skinnier clasp too so not good for a 6263 etc. USD250 tops ... cheers P.
