  3. Thanks sneed, i contacted bk and he made me realise that the datewheel on the movement i have has had the numbers and paint removed making the overlay sit lower. I will replace it with a raised 2836 dw today and see how it is. Cheers P.

  7. Nice GMT Red, bk did an awesome job. Very interesting for me because i am replacing my broken 2836-2 with a 2893-2 but i found the GMT gear wheels mean that the datewheel becomes sunken (see pics below) but yours seems normal. Looks like i'll be pm'ing bk - Cheers P.

  9. If a MG25-295 crystal is for a gen Seadweller it won't fit an SSD. The gen seadweller case is a complicated construction to withstand massive pressures .. Cheers P.
  10. Which dealers have the new version Cheers P.
  11. Hey Ronin, anytime mate ... Yeah its the overlay which get in the way, no problem for the normal datewheel. I have noticed though there is alot of room under that gear so a thicker overlay can be used to raise it a bit more. I tried two overlays sandwiched together and they cleared it no problem. Might have to work something out with JMB using his decals. Cheers P.
  12. This is a ETA 2893-2 which i understand to be a 'true' GMT. Same as your i guess ..? Cheers P.
  13. I'm rebuilding my Sillix case 1675 coz the original 2836 GMT movemt died on me. I have a gen ETA2893-2 GMT movement which as cib0rgman says does fit but as you can see in pics below the datewheel is 'sunk' because of the GMT gear. Not sure i can live with that ... Cheers P.
  14. Sure thing .... www.cousinsuk.com type in ETA289322558H204 for the hour wheel and ETA28932251H119 for the 24 hour (GMT) wheel. These are the tallest posts Pics: As you can see using this movement you have a sunken datewheel because of the GMT gear so not sure if i gonna go with this option. Cheers P.
  15. Thanks cib0orman, i got the parts from Cousins already and just ordered a GMT handset from Clarks .. Cheers Peter

  18. Thanks Ronin, trying to determin if i can fit a gen spec hand on my 2893 movement. Seems the only person who sells aftermarket Rolex style GMT hands for this movement is wholesaleoutlet (Mr Slimeball) so trying to find an alternative ... Cheers P.
