  1. Thanks mate. Problem with roulette is the low demand and high price to produce but i'm also looking to do white in the future and the nature of these with the etched numbers means you can probably make one by carefully applying red to the alternative numbers Cheers P.
  2. Thanks for the support guys. Ronin, i actually wanted him to do them in white but because he uses thin metal sheet we were worried that the white on top might make them too thick to clear the dial. He couldn't source any material thin enough this time but the next batch i will try white. Now i have the mold done skies the limit. Some of the numbers are slightly off on this sample so i didn't put my 1675 together but i will go to see the printer today to get them lined up perfectly. Watch this space Cheers P.
  3. second hand is the giveaway. Should have a tapered end. But not conclusive as cc says, buy the seller Cheers P. '
  4. Hi guys, Thanks for your interest. I still have to iron out a few minor issues but should be available at the end of the month. Looking at around 25usd each. I will keep you posted and the more feedback the better so keep 'em coming Cheers P.
  5. Hi there, like other members here i too am fed up with the lack of decent overlays for our vintage reps using ETA movements so i found a printer who is helping me (and you lot) find datewheel nirvana This is a sample i picked up today from my printer . Too my surprise instead of printing the numbers on top of the disc he has etched out the numbers then filled with black paint which gives them a much sharper appearance. They are thin metal like the ones on cartel reps I will put the whole watch together later and post pics so you get an idea of what it looks like under the cyclops. Please give feedback, its important as these are not cheap to produce and i will have to outlay a lot if i go ahead and print a batch so need to know i can recoup my investment. Here are some pics .. Cheers P.
  6. You can get a caseback from Rafflestime on Ebay here http://www.ebay.com/itm/Submariner-Watch-Case-Back-/151023594493?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2329b52bfd He has other stuff you may need too Cheers P.
  7. Keep the Daytona. One thing with high grade frankens is we build them ourselves or have them built by someone, but either way its something you put together over time after searching for that elusive piece to finally put it all together. You don't get that by just buying a whole watch. Its a no brainer, keep the Daytona .. P.
  8. Too early for a euromariner ....
  9. nice specimens guys ... here's my 1680 Red. All except dial (NDT) and midcase (Yuki) Cheers P.
  10. just finished putting this together for a friend of mine. Early Phong he brought in Vietnam in 2006 he says. Its was in poor shape. Replace the movement with gen 2783. cheers P.
  11. Great work TC ... can you give some details on printing technique used on your date wheels. I'm trying to find a commercial printer for a high res scan of a ETA version of a 1570 date wheel but so far no one can replicate the Rolex print of the gen date wheel i show them. Looks to me like its thermographic printing but i'm no expert Cheers P.
  12. He didn't take 850usd for it ... wtf he lists a rep case on Ebay and doesn't take that sort of cash ... nice guy
  13. i find people asking crazy prices but not sure if they actually being sold for that much. Check out this DRSD dial http://www.ebay.com/itm/60s-Rolex-Double-Red-Sea-Dweller-1665-Mark-II-Tropical-Dial-for-Patent-Pending-/271197414385?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f24a023f1 P.
  14. Thanks for the nice comments guys, much appreciated Cheers P.
  15. Hi guys, ok so here's another 6265 Big Red to check out. Its not quite in the same league as Valty's amazing piece but i am happy with the way it turned out. As usual with these builds nothing was easy. This was originally built with a silver dial but the V72 movement needed a rebuild and parts so off it went to The Zigmeister who did an amazing job with it. Thanks The Zigmeister ! I also brought a black "Big Red" dial off of Laser3000 which he had Phong make at great cost and trouble to himself. Gen crown was wonky so i replaced it with another and put it on straight. Subdials were too white so i aged them to a more dirty white using soft pencil lead on a Q-tip. The lume dots are too small and the one a '6' fell off. I will have them fixed one day. Specs are: - Phong case engraved 5 million serial number - JLC V72 rebuilt by The Zigmeister. Crappy Rolex 5 line bridge - Phong dial with gen crown Phong hands - Gen 78350 bracelet with 557 endlinks. Correct 571 won't fit Phong case - Gen 703 Crown and tube. Phong pushers - Gen tropic 21 ok here the pics: Thanks for looking P.
  16. His son Baxter Dury is recording, has a great album called Happy Soup. Check it out but buy the gen. I'm not into ripping off music (sorry way off topic here) P.
  17. Check this out. Quite a bargain me thinks ... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rolex-116610LN-original-Dial-Cerachrom-Bezel-hands-/290866982053?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43b905eca5 Cheers P.
  18. "I wanna be straight, I wanna be straight I'm sick and tired of taking drugs and staying up late"
  19. Cool thanks, i'll check it out. My Flightmaster hands come from Ofrei too Cheers P.
  20. Thanks all the nice comments guys, Zeleni, where the hell did you find that straight hand ? P.
  21. That's hard to say because the measurements are very small between it either being too loose or the crystal cracking because its too tight. As you're using two different rep parts it would be pure luck if you get them to fit right especially anything from that idiot from WSO. Cheers P.
  22. You can also use a gen datewheel as an overlay. Just remove the paint on the original datewheel so you give a bit more room and glue the gen datewheel on top. Check ebay Cheers P.
  23. Hi guys, after a long time gathering parts and having work done my 1655 is finally here Here are the specs. Not a great lover of this model but see what you think. - Rep 1655 case. Not even sure where is came from. It was in my parts box and it looked to good to ignore so i started building. Has gen style Bezel assembly. - Clarks 116 tropic - Cartel caseback - ETA 2893-2 GMT movement with taller GMT, hour, minute and second pinnions installed. - Gen tube and 6 mm crown - Ingod dial relumed by Vac - Omega flightmaster handset with Rafflestime GMT hand relumed by Vac - Datewheel from early MBW - Rep folded bracelet with gen clasp. Needs better endlinks Was easy to put together except all the hands needed work to fit. Pics: Cheers for looking P.
  24. here! Member 89% Positive Feedback 17 0 2 997 posts 0 warning points Gender:Male Location:Shanghai, China Hi there, i wouldn't worry too much at this stage its only been 5 days. But i live in Shanghai and I've noticed since October 2012 (communist party congress) the postal system in China has slowed down probably because of more security checks. Also relations between Japan and China are at an all time low which won't help either. Give it more time, i send and receive stuff all the time and never had a problem with EMS but have noticed it takes longer. Good luck P.
