It is the way to go coz its the only way to build a 1675 on a budget which won't blow the bank. Stick with the Josh case for now. Rolexaddict does a fantasic job on reworking the case so everything is possible. Cheers P.

I just got a midcase from Phong with engravings. A bezel assembly from here: http://stores.ebay.com/VINTAGE-MODERN-PARTS-WATCHES?_trksid=p4340.l2563 He Asks 350usd for bezel set ! but i offered him 200usd and he accepted. Gen crystal fits perfect, gen insert had to be shaved ... Josh 1655 case is crap for a 1675, totally wrong even for a 1655... Here's pics Cheers P.

Its looks more like a sevice replacement style than original. Sticks are short and numbers small. As long as its a snug fit over the crystal should be fine. Does he not state the inside diameter on the website ...? Cheers P.

Wow thats bad news. I brought my case 12 months ago and only problem was the bezel wouldn't fit the gen insert. You could glue it in but i used a MBW the insert snaps in like a gen. Otherwise very happy with it. Andy, as Omega says above there really is no MBW 1680 case so no comparison. 500 bucks for a Yuki case is steep, especially if they are now crap. Cheers P.

You gonna be even poorer now welcome back ! As Denimhead said Franken 1655's are expensive, i've built a couple of ETA based versions and in middle of one now. Lemme know if you need any advice on the cheaper alternatives Cheers P.

I built a straight second hand 1655 a few years ago but have never found another. all the rep makers seem to only make the lume dot version now. I sold it already. My next build is a lume dot folded bracelet version ... (2nd pics) i would go down that road if i were you. This is older version of Josh case with much better crown guards than the newer version but it won't fit a gen crystal, rehaut is slightly too small. This is a tropic 127 from a 1680 and a newer version bezel. I just gotta hope an NDT dial fits the case. Cheers P.
