  1. True Martin but its strange the dial is too big for the J&W case too which Phong says is 1:1 (don't they all) Cheers P.
  2. I did notice its the same problem on the DW case but looks like the J&W case has enough rehaut that it could lose a little... i think just 0.2 mm would do it. Maybe JMB or Domi could tell us if its possible... P.
  3. Hiya all, after seeing the new batch of 7032's coming through and Martin's informative posts on how too make them even more accurate i decided to give my J&W 7032 a makeover. I brought a DW dial which is excellent but seems comes up a tad too large for the J&W case. The top pic is my 7032 the one below a gen. You can see the gap between the numbers and the rehaut are different, too close on the rep. Do you think this can be fixed by maybe taking some of the rehaut off on a lathe or not worth the risk... Cheers P.
  4. Hi M... i brought the movement as part of a Phong 6263 kit from a member here, would you believe its a Jaeger LeCoultre not sure if it was best to keep the JLC bridge on it but Micheal gave me a great deal on the Rolex Bridge so couldn't say no.. Cheers P.
  5. Hey mate, i got my Rolex bridge from Micheal at www.classicwatchparts.com It was part of a number of things he done for a very good price. Drop him a line sure he can help you out... Cheers P.
  6. all rep, frankens.... thanks !
  7. Sorry to say but i doubt there is a rep case which these dials will fit. On the only half decent rep case there is out there the dial opening is too big... Cheers P.
  8. Awesome, thanks guys... P.
  9. Awesome, thanks guys... P.
  10. Lost his details, can someone post please... Cheers P.
  11. This is what she gonna look like Marty... good choice although i just can't wear nato straps.... Cheers P.
  12. They are different, try taking a standard 2783 to a Tudor AD for servicing they'll laugh at you... i know, i did
  13. I think you have to go with what you're wearing... croc strap with white cuffs, steel with anything dark... beautiful watch Freddy whatever she wears.... Cheers P.
  14. Nice work J. You are the lughole king... Cheers P.
  15. Hi guys, After ordering a Seadweller from WM9 and having nothing to show for it i decided to build a vintage 16600 based on the SSD.. Big thanks to JMB for his help on this project... Specs are: - SSD case with drilled lugholes - Gen dial with vintage tritum - Gen insert with vintage tritum insert - Gen 702 crown - SSD bracelet - Swiss 2836-2 movement - Yuki hands - Case, back and bracelet vintaged Pics: Cheers for looking... P.
  16. Hey Andrew... after building one tricompax with gen 7753 seems only the slowbeat A7750 cases will fit a gen movement. I brought a highbeat A7750 6-9-12 and the case is the same as the 3-6-9 and will not fit a gen movement. Anyone wanting to build a franken Navi with a gen movement has to have an older slowbeat case.. Also i don't find it a problem having no quickset date on the tricompax, especially if you keep it on a winder. My 7734 powered Tudor Monte Carlo has no quickset date either you can live with it... I think we need a roll call of all member who have a slowbeat 6-9-12 Navi they want to sell to members wanting to build a Franken Cheers P.
  17. And that 6-9-12 Navitimer has to be from a slowbeat version. The newer highbeat 28800 cases will not fit a gen eta. Believe me i've tried... Cheers P.
  18. Hi Cougaree, the sunken datewheel is only present on the A7753 which is a modified A7750. A gen 7753 will not have this problem but it will not fit a rep dial you have to use a modified gen. Problem is finding the correct case, only a older slowbeat Serie Speciale case will fit the gen movement, either 7750 or 7753. I am looking for one for a another tricompax project.. Cheers P.
  19. I have a gen dial for this model pls pm me... Cheers P.
  20. Hi Guys, i've had my Tudor MC 7032 for a couple of years now with the usual vintage triplock crown 24-702 installed but whenever i saw pics of a gen they the twinlock 24-700 crown so i went about looking for one. The crown was fairly simple to find but unfortunately the 24-7000 tubes are almost extinct. So i posted a topic about it here a few weeks ago and marsupilami very kindly came to the rescue with one of his custom made tubes. Thankyou marsupilami and all who help me out with great advice... here's the finished result... Cheers P.
  21. Looks good Marty my only concern ia the crown guards but maybe its the photo... what do you think, are they workable? Also can you tell me the diameter of the dial / rehaut opening... Cheers P.
  22. Looking at the movement again looks like its running in the pics maybe why the counters are not re-set If anyone picks it up from here i have a winding stem... Cheers P.
  23. Hiya all, Anyone looking for a V72 this might be interesting. Looks clean but has no winding stem and doesn't mention about how it runs.. maybe worth asking the seller... http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-MENS-DELBANA-CHRONOGRAPH-WATCH-VALJOUX-72-726-/270632385055?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item3f02f27a1f Cheers P.
  24. Looks more accurate than Yuki's especially the bezel... will be interesting to see how much it goes for. Worthy if you wanna build a 7032 Cheers P.
  25. Nice project Andy but that dial deserves a WM9 or Euromariner case. I have a similar project on the go with a 16600 but gettiing the SSD case drilled is the last part of the puzzle for me too... Didn't Eurotimez have a sub case drilled option..? Cheers P.
