you send it to whatever address your dealer tells you to.

only things this watch needs is abetter weld on the bracelet, good lume, and for the dial chipping issue to be eliminated. It has already been established in previous threads that the hand length and date font vary even among genuines. The only other thing I have heard is that it has an incorrect case back.
-
I didn't see it at first either, but in the third pic up from the bottom, you can see that the print is actually printed above the flat space that was made for it to be printed in. Have of it is printed on smooth and half on textured dial. Very sloppy, I'd send it back. Deal killer.
-
I buy it as soon as I can afford it...sometimes that means paying more....sometimes I have to wait so long that it means paying less.
-
completely normal for enthusiasts. I always immediately notice what people have on their wrists.

send that crap back. If your dealer is worth a damn, he or she will replace it. I mean, sure we are lucky to have our dealers, but we should be able to expect to receive what we order, and have it be adequately representative of all they hype that the dealers collectively throw at us. Especially given the hefty pricetag of this model. My suggestion deal with Andrew next time. He doesn't drop ship, and can actually give you item the once over to filter out bad items.
-
maybe this is tmi, but frankly I just can't even get aroused unless I am wearing a watch that is at least 44mm. Sometimes (if the kids are in bed and its going to be a marathon session) I wear one on each wrist. Does that mean I'm sick, or is this OK? I mean, I'm not hurting anybody, right?

dude, same thing, my son looks like a clone instead of offspring....can't tell us apart in pictures at the same age accept that my clothing are reflective of 70's fashion

that ending was priceless

a second post asking for a domestic dealer, just smacks of government operative looking to take a chunk out of our hobbie. would it be inappropriate to suggest that someone see if they can produce a little ip information on this poster?

I was a noob once, and I am not a grand wizard of horology or the kkk or anything for that matter, but I do know this. Life has taught me that I don't like to feel or look stupid, so when I came to the first RWG, I looked around, I read ( I mean more than I have in the last 10 years), and I soaked everything in. I saw people getting flamed (sort of) for the same old fu**ing noob questions over and over. Truly, this is a resource, and those providing the resource, largely for free, are not obligated to take you from K through 12, so that you can graduate into a contributor around here. If you ask a noob question, and are told to do a little reading and research, then fu**ing do it. If you want to be a member here and receive the benefits of membership, put forth a little effort, and educate yourself, as it is not the duty, responsibility, or wish of our community to keep answering the same stupid questions. I had the same stupid questions festering on my lips when I joined, but I took some time and READ and used the SEARCH function (it works like that there google), and I READ somemore. MAYBE, and follow me here, cuz this is a far out suggestion, we should have two levels of paid membership contribution, one for people that are willing to read and search for themselves before bogging down the community with the same tired questions, and then another called the "lazy, burdensome, dumbass" membership that costs something like 3 or 4 times as much as the normal paid membership that gives limitless stupid question amnesty. People like the guy that started this thread, like to [censored] and moan because they are told to do their homework, or get their wrists slapped while participating in a discussion, for which they don't have the chops, and quite frankly, the rest of the thousands of us that cherish this resource don't care to have self important whiners in or midst. Is that harsh? Yes. But I have never minded being harsh in the face of trouble makers that make their troble because of a deficit in common sense. Get over yourself, spew your vomit and lick your wounds elsewhere, or participate quietly, humbly, and respectfully, because in an established community like this, guess what....YOU ARE A NOOB. SHOW SOME RESPECT. It reminds me of the situation where a young lion tries to surplant an older established male for the leadership of the pride, and then, surprised and indignant for having had his ass handed to him, he lopes off to lick his wounds. This situation is similar, except in nature, you don't get all this grandstanding and whining. THEY JUST LEAVE. Why don't you try getting back to nature? -B

When And How Much?superocean Steelfish

I emailed Andrew last night, and his cryptic reply was "not so soon" -
@ Clive - To each his own, but for the love of God, don't associate poor taste with Americans. Just because our government is slowly taking our freedoms and turning a once proud, independent people into a nation of witless, dependent, children, there is no need to associate us with poor taste on this scale. I like my watches like I like my government...minimal. -B
-
actually, if I'm not mistaken, you can tell this is the newer case because of the odd positioning of the lug holes.
-
try though I may, I just cannot warm up to this watch. I guess I have to accept the fact that I don't like anything that doesn't way 5 lbs and look like a stainless steel big mac on the wrist. Thank God for submerisbles, the 45 PO, and the Superocean.

Do any of the dealers carry one with the correct case? Most I've seen have a polished bezel and the improper spellig of Tachymeter for that model......anyone?

So There Were No Big New Watches For X-mas!
tenacious_b replied to TmeShare's topic in General Discussion
yeah, I was really looking forward to unwrapping a pam 252 and a b'ling superocean, but I don't think they'd make it here in time even if they were available to purchase tomorrow. -
I have the same problem...from what I have seen, and I've been looking for more than a year, there are no swiss 40mm panerai to be had, and you either get a 49 or 50 and thats it. Josh does have a 21j panerai 40mm 026 (i think...) power reserve model, but go figure, my wife hates the PR complication

Further, did it escape anyone else's attention that two gen watch purists are dismantling reps against the backdrop of what appears to be a doublewide trailer home? Ok, that's it, I am logging off, going home and immursing myself in a martini to subdue the white-hot hillbilly-killing rage I am feeling right now. I mean you could transplant these guys right into fu**ing Deliverance.... "You sure gotta perty strap boy" "Squeel like an un-oiled movement!!" ugh!
-
I bet those fat fu**ers nail each other in their when their not busy molesting inanimate objects. If they only new the truth. "every time you break a rep.....no one gives a [censored]." Now seriously lay off the twinkies, let your cousin out if your woodshed dungeon, and get your fat ass to the gym!!!!!!

Is There Any Rwg Members That Are Able ..
tenacious_b replied to 2005SUBMARINER's topic in The looney bin
I have had the same efax account for the last 5 years, and I work in a documentation intensive industry, and I have always been impressed by it. You can get a free account (I think) at www.efax.com There is another free alternative, but it sucks, called callwave.com I would save you the pain of trying it. Don't be suckered in by faxing over a voip connection using a fax machine (at least in the U.S.). SIP protocol was never meant to handle faxing, and most of the class 5 voip switches in the U.S. are configured in such a way that will most often kill fax transmission if it is more than a page or so. By best suggestion is efax + a sheet feed scanner if you need to fax multiple pages and often. -
I don't think we're homophobic, and, Aidan was only homo-suspicious of his watch. But now, admittedly, he's homo-certain (of his watch that is). You know, I'll open up and be honest here....whenever the dealers post "up and coming" models, I get a little buy-curious.

http://www.itwire.com.au/content/view/7952/52/ What the hell is going on with the world? Please Governement, step in and protect me from video games and movies, but please line the pockets of those that are poisonging us with drugs everyday, most of which carry a list of side effects worse than anything they are treating. What a crock of [censored]. I would have thought Germany would have learned it lesson on where state sponsored censorship ends up.
-
AAAARRRGGGGG My eyes!!! Ze goggles do nuhsing!!!! Seriously Aidan, the true test of a watch's gayness is it's ability to infect or infuse others with it's gayness. Do you find yourself talking with a lisp, or otherwise femming it up when you wear the watches in question? Do you find your inner monologue takes on the persona of Mr/Mrs Garrison from Southpark? Do you call guys that you've just met "Cowboy?" If you answered yes to any of these questions, then I'd have to say yes, your watches are most likely gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
