bottom of crown guard is still wrong too. I will wait for the ultimate 1:1 super duper version.

for 2009, I want a 1:1 42mm Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean. As far as this year, I got double dreamed....GMTIIC and the DSSD 1:1 expected by the end of the year.

I just saw an omega billboard in Austin, TX yesterday with what was clearly a 42mm PO (smaller teeth on bezel) with QOS messaging on the billboard as well.

it is the pain of loss that paints the stark, desolate backdrop against which successful shipments shine so brightly. All bs aside, I feel for you. I have been lucky and only had one loss in 3 years, but I still get tense every time, but it really does make it that much sweeter every time I open a package and see what I expected or better.

WOW and congrats! I look forward to a time in life that I can drop that much $ on my watch hobby without crying or threats of divorce. I sure hope the 1:1 does this one justice. I saw Sead over on RWI or RG saying that the "Ultimate" is coming out in a week or two, but Andrew tells me this is is not the 1:1, so I guess I will continue to wait and lust. Since your pictures are a bit blurry, I am curious....can you tell us if the numbers and hash marks carved in relief in the ceramic bezel insert are smooth or somewhat jagged? Some of the ones I've see, are rough and somewhat misaligned....

Not to be mean spirited at all, but it's almost worth opening a betting pool on whether or not you will receive your watch based on fedex alone. Historically Fedex just has not worked out well. Best of luck - hope you come through this learning experience unscathed, and with your watch, albeit overpriced, in hand, and functioning satisfactorily. Usually, I am not too impressed by the stuff time4direct offers, but this one actually looks cool compared to some of the other panerai stuff that's come out lately. I don't know if we're allowed to post links to other boards, so you'll have to go check it out. Claiming 5 to 6 day power reserve. Anyway, I won't be getting one, but I thought it had some interesting updates for a lower end watch.
