2 day delivery time is extraordinary, unless you paid for overnight shipping, in which case your seller is late.
In any case, congratulations on your 1st. Better start looking for a part-time job to support your new habit.
Connery could wear a Rolex-signed banana & it would look cool. On just anyone else, a vintage Sub/striped strap worn with formal wear just looks silly (speaking empirically).
Missing engravings between lugs & you are taking for granted (without proof) that the gen parts are in fact gen. The price is better than some of the more well known sources, but it lacks important details. Were it me, I would put a band-aid on your bump & keep moving.
The style of this crown is 702 (note the close proximity of the 3 dots to the crown - they are further apart on the 703/704). I would not worry about the underside crimping since it is not seen. Unfortunately, those 3 dots look (as best as I can tell from his dark, shadowy pics) a bit too wide, which is a hallmark of an aftermarket Triplock.
I have been using a mid-level Dremel for a number of years & my only complaint is that the cord can get in the way. If/when I have to replace it, I will probably get the cordless version. Beyond that, just make sure to plan ahead & gather all the tips you will need for the job at hand. Even Sears sells compatible tips/tools for the Dremel.
Hard to tell with certainty, but, based on his pics, the use of the word 'possible' in his title & the fact that all of his previous sales are marked private (though some of the buyer comments reference non-watch items), I would not bid more than you would be willing to pay for a used aftermarket crown (& do not be surprised if you receive a broken crown at that).
Way too many (similar) pics, but, nice work on the watch.
I do think the lume is too yellow & the 'age/wear' of the insert (which appears to be popping out around 30) does not match the relatively new-looking bezel/case &, as someone else suggested, the crown does look a bit odd.
Nice shot, Joey.
This was my take on the Goldfinger scene shortly after I completed the project a few years ago
I chose to fit the bracelet instead of the Bond-style strap to be sure people knew it was a new pic & not a screenshot from the movie
The result, in this case, is due to the application of 2 shades of boot polish & a few minutes in the oven with my chocolate chip cookies. Be careful not to burn the cookies (or the paint).
Nice tip, but more useful are Toad's 'Hey Noob' guide & our own RWG 'forum rules!', both pinned atop the main Introduction/Rules/Support forum. That forum should be your 1st stop when arriving at RWG as it contains answers to most of your questions & will reduce the likelihood of your making the most common mistakes (like asking 'What is the best............?', which is addressed in the Posting section of our rules).
NDT & Phong. I suggest you search/research both before making a purchase. Neither sellers' products are perfect (or consistent) & you will need to choose the case that contains the least objectionable sins & fits your needs best.
Rolex out of style? Never been in the nearly 30 years since I have been collecting. Vintage Rolex watches may not have been as valuable as they are now, but they have never been out of style. The thing is that younger men tend to follow fashion, not style - 2 very different things (fashion is temporary, often changing with seasons &/or the wearing habits of celebrities; while style is permanent).
