  1. My first watch from my dad was a Bulova I think. It was a very small sub copy with rotating bezel. That watch was my pride&joy. I would definately go analog if it was me and my son.
  2. Morn'n kids
  3. I'm sorry kbh, I should have given a link. If you google it there are hundreds of articles with links. This one explains and gives their own links to the stats. This is not new info. http://pjmedia.com/blog/fbi-crime-stats-show-an-armed-public-is-a-safer-public/
  4. Loved what you wrote about the scouts and building character Nanuq, I was trained firearm safety by scouts along with my father and grandfathers. The ultimate answer is always parenting and the way we raise our kids. Sadly, there is no perfect world. There is no perfect highway where car accidents never happen. Bad things happen in life that cannot be prevented. There will always be evil and selfish people. You either understand and prepare for this the best way you can, or you keep trying to make rules and laws that make you feel better while your head is in the sand. The FBI stats are out there for those that really want to know the facts. There is less crime in areas the population is armed. There is more crime in areas where people are unarmed. This should be common sense but its not for some. The cities with the toughest gun laws have the highest murder rates verses the cities that in recent years have eased up on gun regs...crime had been reduced. These are facts regardless of ideology. I feel very sorry for all the parents of those children in Ct, I'm also disgusted at the president and politicians that jump at the chance to impose their will and ideology on the rest of us.
  5. Thanks sgtguk....still here though. Hope to get out in next day or so
  6. Continuing the Tudor
  7. If I could wear a watch right now..... It would be this
  8. It's tough isn't it? Every time one of these threads come along I dread reading them. So tempted to explain things and try to enlighten the misinformed. Several here do a wonderful job of it though. The real reason I don't speak more in these things is the nature if this wonderful forum we have. The very people that think what I know is wrong....are the very people that are so nice and helpful otherwise. Americans have a huge mess on our hands right now, history in the making. I pray we can stay with the Constitution on all things.
  9. Nice writeup Pan! Your experience is the same as mine, there is no set time...some will fade pretty fast and some not at all. Some even change font color. Every now and then you will see the silver turn flat bright white. Some inserts get that dark blue thing too. I've never seen a pattern or even a way to predict who's gonna do what either. The only tip I have us to rough them up first. Drano works really fast. I mostly use gen inserts anymore but I've made a few nice rep inserts look great.
  10. Here's my MBW build, an Ingod 5512 dial with probably Clark hands...I forget but I like Ingod dials more than Yuki.
  11. Thanks so much, means tons to hear things like that. I'm in the hospital and have had some problems ...that's why I've been inactive. I'm much better now and will be home in a couple days. Thanks again for the nice words. Killer Tudors!!!!
  12. Merry Christmas to all my friends at rwg!
  13. Interesting
  14. I bought one fir my TC SD bracelet also, I paid around 30$.
  15. Very nice Ephry
  16. Do not try and remove it, it's not gen construction. If you change inserts, do it from outside. Pop the pearl out and pry up the old insert from the hole. A gen insert should fit with a tiny bit if fitting.
  17. Morning! Wearing a Tudor today
  18. I have heard Pbad can do it, you might check with him.
  19. First scene with them all going straight up...looked like "War of the Worlds" lol.... Definitely something alien looking about this
