Very useful tool, the microscope. Mine is a cheapo, I bought it on the bay, the kind that universities use and replace.
If you read the watchmakers forums, many of those guys use them, that's where I got the idea.
At my age this is often easier than a loup. You wanna see a microscope? Check with Jmb....he has a serious one
Yeah, I'd think I would just get a new correct rotor assembly at this point. The hole sounds out if round, and now something's stripped.
You could also rob one from a dead ETA.
I would think unless the actual watch you receive is defective, you should be good to go.
Of course, local watch shop/pressure test before swimming advised, but the design should be waterproof.
On second thought, I know absolutely zero about the latest modern Rolex series. lol.
Wanna borrow my Seadweller?
Jack, thanks for the kind words.
I know the problem, I have a sub similar to yours made from the same components but a Tudor.
The watch is nice, but the shorter cg's with the 703 makes that crown look a bit tall.
My 5512 in this thread is an MBW case with taller cg's and with the shorter 702 looks better to me.
If I could afford a 702 for this watch I would do it. My 702 was a gift from an esteemed member here.
There are a few different rep 702 tubes, but no rep 702 crowns that I have found.
My Tudor
No, it will not fit. The two crown and tubes are a different design. not just different sizes. If you score a 702 crown, Yuki has an aftermarket tube that will work.
Here's my 5512 with gen 702 and tube.
I agree, the 702 looks better, but you have a rockin watch!
They might be a mil long, but I love seeing the tips of the spring bars!
I can hardly ever find spring bars long enough.
Denim, your build came out great and I love the little scars on the case and bracelet.
Reminds me of the watch the pic of that actor wearing ..
Welcome to the forum
I personally know more about older 16610 and vintage rolex than the newer ceramic subs.
There is a wealth of information on those watches within these threads. I reccomend you do a ton of reading before you buy anything.
Someone will come along hopefully that knows the current ceramics well. I do know there are two main factories Bp and noob making these and both have features and faults of their own. I do not know the version your asking about.
Good luck and stick around, this is a great forum and resource.
This thread will get you started

Indy look here
. Some may be sold, but if that's the case, contact seller and see if he can get more.
I have scored many parts by checking with sold items. Rolex parts require chasing and diligence.
I check the three gen forums and eBay daily. I bought a like new 16610 insert once from a guy in Greece 55$ shipped.
I also bought a fat font nos insert for my 5512 for 99$ shipped off TRF from an ad everyone missed months before..I just emailed the guy....he had forgotten lol

If your talking about the Omega Planet Ocean, you might find more answers in the Omega section.
If its a different watch then the appropriate brand section for that watch. This is the general watch talk section
If you can find an old MBW case set that is my preferred option in the lower priced area. Possibly find a full MBW 5513 watch. Then you just need dial, insert, and whatever gen parts you care to add.
Another popular option is to buy a Josh/Andrew 5513 watch (128$) the downside on these cases are the well known stubby or short crowngaurds. As in the picture of my Tudor. Other than that, the josh case accepts genuine parts like the crystal and insert. Many people do it with this watch due to its low cost and gen construction.
Here is a link to Josh's 5513. You may have to click twice to get to the correct page.
