  1. Gen movement Cant wait to see this one!
  2. Well duhhh! Why didn't I think of that?...lol kinda obvious now that you said that...Thanks..I have a few of those tools laying around. On the next one I will use that.... instead of a tiny punch and a block of steel as a hammer..lol
  3. I changed my whole viewpoint on life.. that day. Prayers to all that suffered and those that still suffer with loss Thank you vly for starting this thread
  4. No sorry, I used to search inserts all the time, lately it's been clasps..just a couple of this kind so far no fliplocks.
  5. I figured out how to do it. This is a cheaper rivet bracelet and now it has a nicer gen clasp. I used one of those blocks with crisscross slices through it to hold the bracelet. I used a tiny punch to drive the pin through. Swapped in the gen clasp then hammered the pin back in. I know...simple..but for me it was a fun discovery! lol
  6. Thanks auto, in this case I'm talking about the simple clasp like on jubilee or rivit. Just the one pin that holds the first bracelet link to the clasp. I need to get that out somehow, swap to a gen clasp the get that pin back in.
  7. My understanding was they are pins..that you drive out and then drive them back in?
  8. I love that watch, black and S/S and the light band! Killer combo! Wish they made it 40mm
  9. I've been collecting after market bracelets, and a few gen clasps over the last few months. I was wondering if anyone knows a tutorial on how to swap them? I have searched the forums with no luck so far...thanks in advance for any help!
  10. New Tudor....Ty J! I bought a camera and will take time this weekend to learn how to take pictures this weekend. I know you guys are tired of my fuzzy phone pics! ..so last one!
  11. Congrats and excellent job! LHOOQ has alot of wisdom on projects..he's helped me too Beautiful watch!
  12. I have had the same experience.... and have been surprized more than once. The generousity here is unlike anywhere I have ever been on the internet. Just a great group of guys.
  13. I wouldn't give up yet on slimeball's bezel. There are guys modding their 5517 cartel subs with the WSO bezel at RWI. Maybe the specs are different from bezel to bezel and Omega got a bad one? It's a long thread but I believe RWI member Dallas has used these. http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/how-mod-trevor-5517-81119.html?t=81119&highlight=5517
  14. A couple months ago we lost power for two days. I know what you mean, old timey... candles and battery radio. Kinda fun For one night!
  15. I just came back to gawk some more... Oh...what version of T39 did you use? When I first for into all this I loved the giant bubble crystals, but after I had my first flatter service version T19 in one of my watches... I loved it more.. now I have 5 watches with flatter ones. Now I have 5 watches with flatter ones. I have the service T39 in my 1665 and yours looks similar.
  16. Back on the Tudor
  17. Ray, There's some good info about the differences in this thread here
  18. Mr slimeball on ebay has them, those are the only ones I know of other than finding a gen bezel. (or trading your watch to Nanuq) http://www.ebay.com/itm/BEZEL-COMPLETE-SUBMARINER-TENSION-INSERT-5513-BLK-/310304838589?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item483f9c13bd
