  1. With a loupe on my, 3gs I get the port view. I have my loupe flat against the phone and taped. I'm using the same type of black plastic loupe, but 4x. On your 4 it works perfect. I wonder what the deal is? Maybe it 3 verses 4? I just preordered the 4gs and it will be here next week.
  2. The only thing I found funny in that video were the reflections of his face in the sub's crystal. Once you notice his black framed glasses and his eyes...while he's yammering 90mph..that was kinda funny.
  3. Dutch rocks! Nice watch too! As for the pics, when your about to post..in the top of the editor there's a photo icon that brings a field up for you to past your links into. Even easier, within photobucket..when you hover your cursor over a pic a box will pop up. The bottom field.. when you click that will copy and format your link for you. When you come back here, you just paste that in the post box.
  4. Your right...I should have thought of that. Piece of cake with your skills My jeweler guy doesn't work with S/S. He said he could replicate it in white gold but well.....lol Maybe I can send you one later and you can help Ronin. In fact, if I had a couple more..I could fix my good 20mm rivet I screwed up.
  5. Well Hello..! Wow. I'm glad you finally got it..and no kidding there's a difference. The gen bracelets I have... all feel and look better than the reps Beautiful on your watch Db2
  6. I saw those too Nanuq! Crazy days... My two bargain gen 19mm bracelets, one a 60's folded 97$ and 58' rivet 180$ just turned into un-bargains. I've been searching for a couple weeks for the little piece that holds the springbar inside the endlink (one broken on each bracelet) I just finished paying 100$ for two of them..teeny tiny little curved pieces of steel. Grrrrr
  7. Great pictures!
  8. Ronin, So it's a rare part....you have four bracelets you can't use? Or did you figure a workaround?
  9. I only own two MBW's. I have the blue snowflake... swiss eta, Yuki dial/hands lumed by pbad, gen T19,gen crown and it's at Jmb's getting it's caseback engraved as we speak. And I am also having my new MBW 1665 case filled with a swiss 2846, my Ingod white rail dial, gen T39 (flatter service), gen crown..also as we speak at Jmb's I'm really wanting a Phong case set too. I want to build a 5512 or 5513 with one.. and have been shopping dials
  10. The broken piece in the middle An intact one I bought a couple vintage bracelets, both 19mm..a rivet and a folded. Both bracelets have these types of endlinks, where there is a tiny mid-piece that goes through the actual endlink. Three out of four ends have broken whatever these are called. I found a pair of them on eBay for 40$ each with 50$ shipping from South America. That seller doesn't know the actual name....lol Any ideas of the name of the part or where to get them?
  11. I love that combo!
  12. Bezel construction?

    My new 6239

    This! Very nice!
  19. Very nice piece Nanuq!
  20. I thought Raven made a model without crowngaurds, or at least I thought I had seen one. There is another "homage" type like this one, but made in germany. I can't remember the name....maybe that one doesn't have CG's. Edit: I just found the other one it's KEMMNER Milsub SG9092 , doesn't have the CG's.
  21. I was wondering how in the heck you were going to swap the SEL's..sounds pretty difficult.
  22. I thought that too, only gens turned bluish...until I saw LHOOQ's new sub's bluish insert. Maybe it's just dumb luck how chemicals react. This is a stock Josh 5512 insert that turned bluish. After about six times in drano for apprx 30 seconds at a time. It's more amazing in real life than I can show with my iPhone. Recognize the watch?
  23. So...what your saying is this Trevor case marked 1665 with working Hev, is shorter than the usual 1665 case? More the size of a 5512/5513/5514/5517 case, but with Hev? That's the case set I want next..a thin/shorter Hev case for a pre-comex 5514...but I may just throw out all reason and go ub-fied with a phong case.
