  1. ..........which is why I never, ever, ever work on my Land Rovers! *touch wood* I wonder if he's got a cracked spark plug?
  2. Bad valve seat? Have him pop over to: http://www.series2club.info/forum/
  3. Good tool watches are meant to be used as .... tools. I think this tool was used to dig the Panama canal. Check out the custom crown and crown guard mods!
  4. Dirty? That's nearly pristine! This is dirty.
  5. "Garage"? You mean that hollowed-out snowbank?
  6. You're on! I'll give you the starting handle (true) and the key and kick back with a tall cold one to watch. There's not "many" obstacles near the mountain house, but watch that first dropoff... it's a doozy.
  7. Total piece of junk. Utterly worthless. Junk. Please send it to me for "disposal".
  8. Did I mention it comes with Ken's left nut?
  9. I've got a soft spot for old Land Rovers in the snow.
  10. Nice! Here it is, in its natural setting on Portage Glacier a year ago.
  11. On deck for tomorrow, the mighty, the inimitable, the stupendous ... Sector Diving Team 1000 Lesser watches fear it, lady watches swoon into its mighty titanium arms.
  12. I'm carefully biding my time until the original thrill subsides... then I'm gonna make my move. Perhaps a trade offer. Maybe a trade for a vintage MBW from 15 years ago. ........with a gen Triplock, gen T-39 Superdome, gen insert, and (get this) a movement from an original Paul's Red Sub, ca. 1997, with the silver date wheel. Of course I'm just pondering out loud...
  13. Yeah Gran, I've been chipping at that "snow" for 3 days and it's set up like a block of ice. I broke my snow shovel on it, now I have a huge ice chipper and I'm trying to knock back the exposed face of the snow drift. I'm making progress, I've cut it back a foot, and cleared about 800 lbs of chipped ice in the process. Only 4 more feet to go until I reach the corner of the front bumper!
  14. That's right baby, you can use gens to shovel snow too. Speaking of which, I'm still looking for a small-arrow 24h hand for this beastie. Got any?
  15. Gahhhhh! There's the 2483 movement I've been looking for! Want to trade? Oh, and SWEET build! I love me some vintage gilt.
  16. A little bit of the tropics in the snow...
  17. Yeah baby!! There's a full size sedan buried under there somewhere, the 2x2 stick marks the front corner.
  18. Digging my car out of the snow drift in the background wearing the tropical GMT. Love it!
  19. Whatever you do, don't think about a COMEX...
  20. Yikes! I'm not feeling the love for a small arrow hand at that kind of price. An entire Clark's set for $70 is much more like it, considering I'm likely to break the sucker in half installing it anyway! Donerix, I'd be honored to wear your small arrow hand on my gilt if it fits. Thank you for your generous offer!
  21. Freddy, didn't you create that 24h hand from two donor pieces? What was the flaw you were trying to correct?
  22. Will your small-arrow 24h hand fit a gen 1675 movement? I need one for this beauty... wearing it today, my tropical gilt.
