The interesting thing is, that's how it really looks in the winter here. There is almost no red or yellow in the light, so everything is in shades of blue. That's part of the reason why ice caves are blue too.
Here's another... a ground storm during the Susitna 100. There had been 5-6" new snow and the wind came way up, and the course was 100 miles cross country. You can see the snow blasting off the top of Susitna across the flats.
That's often true, but all my watches are old enough the lume has quit working. I guess if it looks old and the lume is dead, then that may be appropriate for that watch.
