Well it's the first piece on here in many moons where I've been excited to wake up the next morning so I could learn more about it. Dang it's purty. Looks like you got it right to the point where I topped out my first Big Crown build, then was faced with a big financial step up to the next plateau if I wanted to keep going. What you've accomplished is amazing. If it was me and I was going to keep developing, I'd do this: 1) reduce the case diameter so bezel slightly overhangs the case both sides 2) do a real 8mm crown 3) better hands with LONG hours hand (good luck) 4) superdome crystal to replace the tophat and that's it. You're down to the fine details now.

Yeah that brings us to another topic, I’m scared of bashing mine because of Larry’s memory so it lives in the safe. If I had an old school MBW Sea Dweller it would be another story.

Very interesting. The only problem is, after spending a couple decades here my tastes have refined themselves into a deep corner. Now, I want 4-digit DRSDs and Big Crowns and No CGs and RCO “Sotto”s and Pre-COMEX Subs, and the bloody things cost more than a Cessna. A NICE Cessna. It’s either Christies or I learn how to make them myself.

Verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry nice!! Wow!! Thanks for the writeup. I've already got the orange "300T" from Maranez and Tactical Frog and I'm trying hard not to be "that guy" who buys the Seestern too. But wow your photos make it hard to resist. So far I like the Froggie best, the bezel is ultra low profile and the crystal is ever so slightly domed, so it puts the dial and hands much closer to the surface. How's the bezel on the Seestern? Sticks up pretty high, and bead blasted on the sides? How's the band? Is it a real Beads Of Rice or is it a fake-o piece like that Tactical Frog?

Yep I saw a Seestern in orange posted over on RWG.jr and it looks mighty good. So let’s see that would make 3 orange ones (Maranez, Tactical Frog and Seestern) not to mention the orange Seiko Soxa I built. Plus a yellow Maranez and yellow Tactical Frog plus (of course) another yellow Seiko Soxa. Oh and a blue Maranez V2. And a black Tactical Frog with orange minutes hand. YES DAMMIT, BECAUSE IT NEEDED TO HAPPEN! (pant pant twitch twitch) Deep end? Was that what I jumped off of? Anyone want to buy a Doxa clone?
