  1. Ironically, as a person who hates flashy watches, I really like this one. Even with the bezel being slightly too much, it's not that noticeable in person on the wrist. Actually one of the few recent pieces I would consider buying gen (once prices get to normal people levels). I just feel like they got everything right (except the SEL) in that the case is relatively well shaped and streamlined, the dial is legible and easy to read, and the case is pretty slim. Like I said, they hit the nail on the head with this one, and I'm normally a Rolex guy because Omegas are usually too ostentatious (with funky shapes and whatnot).
  2. Jewelry and Watch is Phong, not Yuki, right?
  3. That's what I meant. I just forgot to put the X after 1601. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the last digit of a 1601X case just specifying whether two-tone or white gold, etc.?
  4. Yeah, and 1601 cases are kind of a dime a dozen.
  5. Overpolished generally means it has been polished so many times that there is a lack of metal which should be there. Ie: really pointy sharp lugs.
  6. Yeah, actually the off-white is warming to me.
  7. No, not really. I wish it did though.
  8. Here's the best I could do as far as lume macro shot.
  9. Really!?! Who could it be?
  10. I'd take that bet.
  11. I couldn't take a macro shot to save my life, but I'll see what I can do.
  12. Yeah, I like how he points to the Mercedes hands and then describes sword hands, and acts like the MOD specified the fifteen minute hash marks.
  13. Nice watch, bob, and nice picture! Yeah, I know hitting the dial with some matte varnish works, but I have zero experience doing it. I'll have to get some advice here on the forum before I go ahead. Also, the white lume is kind of growing on me...
  14. I may have a modder change the dial to a more textured finish and have them tint the lume while they're at it.
  15. I had cwazy do it. I figure it's kind of both of our faults - I didn't specify the tan lume but figured he'd match it. It does shine like a torch now though.
  16. Really?! Wow, I've always been more than happy to ship abroad, provided the people are willing to pay a bit extra for the shipping and the minor hassle.
  17. Check and see if that's the true shipping- sometimes eBay screws up on the automatic shipping calculations.
  18. Ok, fresh from relume, and bright white does not really work for the watch.
  19. Looks like a 20mm link ground down?
  20. Those are sold, and I didn't see any more. Plus, at 130 EUR they weren't exactly cheap!
  21. Is the dial seated flush or is there a dial spacer? I know I had to add a spacer to my DRSD when I changed the dial out, otherwise it rubbed on the bottom of the dial.
  22. Are we talking 80 or 580?
  23. Ok, will try that. Is there any danger of scratching the insert? Like if I try to pry it out with a razor blade or something similar should that do the trick?
  24. It's not off by much, but enough that the back play won't fix it. How would I remove the insert? Does the whole bezel have to come off?
  25. Looks like a gold 7206 band part, maybe from a C&I? That's just my guess though. Ooh - or it could be part of a 6541 bracelet in two tone.
