  1. If you can get some high quality "Ian Fleming" (gilt with chapter ring) dials I'll be in for three...
  2. Woo-hoo! Yeah, it was kind of tricky, but I think there was just not a lot of activity here in general. Thanks for the contest!
  3. Here's my guesses... 1. 93150 clasp 2. 1570 auto winder 3. Datejust dial markers 4. 704 crown 5. 1675 bezel insert 6. Tudor crystal 7. 1570 stem 8. 1665 ad 9. T19 10. Daytona dial coronet
  4. Same here. My thought though was that gen owners only wanted strictly natural wear...
  5. Check this out - a very interesting thread with some people "force" aging dials over at the Omega forum. How do you suppose he did it? Same oven/matte spray recipe? http://omegaforums.net/index.php?threads/Adding-Patina%2C-another-Speedmaster-dial-experiment%2E%2E.18863/ I get a kick out of the fact that those same people would probably be hating on us for trying something similar.
  6. Anybody know where you can decent '60s style rep dauphin hands (sizes 70/120)? I have a pie-pan DJ that would like some, but more importantly, I have a mid-size precision that needs some badly. My watchmaker/modder and I've checked Ofrei, who has them, but they're not quite right, and Cousins, who has some that are closer, but you have to buy 12 and it's 20 GBP!! We've also looked a bit on ebay but didn't turn up anything. Is this just something that hasn't been repped? Is there a way to use gen hands instead? Would they be able to be broached or crimped? Thanks in advance!
  7. Actually, I wouldn't think so. The 14060 uses a slightly different case than the 16610. I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's the case.
  8. One more plus IMHO (more about the gen features than the rep) but their version of the glide lock is night and day superior to the Rolex version. It is incredibly comfortable and easy to adjust even without taking it fully off your wrist. Take note - that's coming from a hardcore Rolex fan...
  9. Yeah, I'm going to have mine relumed. However, the watch is really well constructed for a rep. Like Donerix said, it has pretty decent shock resistance.
  10. The DW ones. They're hit or miss though - it's a plastic bit that keeps the hour totalizer where it should be and sometimes that breaks.
  11. I'm pretty sure T22 is the standard Explorer crystal - I don't think they ever came with T21. I bet LHOOQ could confirm for us though...
  12. I think you want to go the other way, right? Gen watch modded with rep parts? That might be possible depending on where the aftermarket parts come from.
  13. Don't know what I was thinking - definitely a green pearl. :S (Don't type tired...)
  14. An example of trying to do too much.... Too many colors and too busy to be easily readable.
  15. Uh-oh Donerix, they're on to you over at the Omega Forum. They know exactly where to get the band in your picture: . . . . . Some online place called BandRBand. They're sure of it! Rofl...
  16. I'll take a stab at them ( though my answers might be off): 1. Just 703, I think. 702 was a tad too early. 2. Don't know but probably not. 3. Not sure - always paid someone else to do it. 4. Yes, I believe that is correct. 5. Not sure. 6. Undoubtedly.
  17. That's what it looks like. I'm glad the rep is the color it is though - white looks kind of out of place. The cream color looks just perfect on the rep and how it should look imho.
  18. This is rich - I guess it's not just TRF that has constant patting on the back. Check out Donerix's rep on leather nato over on the Omega Forums: http://omegaforums.net/index.php?threads/SM300-Re-issue-In-Atlanta-Boutique%3A-Surprise-Arrival.18135/
  19. I believe IF's is gilt but just hard to photo that way. I could be wrong though... I know RSC serviced it before it went on display...
  20. Thanks JoeyB! Nice addition to the existing info - I wish there were a guide like this for every reference...
  21. I sent him an email a while ago and he responded fairly quickly, and said that I could get any dials I needed, including the 6542...
