  1. I just ordered this Bvlgari watch/ I tried on the gen and it is really a very sharp timepiece. The rep is a dead on copy of the gen.
  2. Welcome Jot to your new addiction. Ahh what a delightful malady it is!
  3. Really great photos. Love that watch too, hard to believe it needs any mods.
  4. Hublot's legal team put the clampers on Josh's website anf he was forced to remove them.
  5. This really happened... Sometimes these "heartwarming" stories are a bit too sappy for me but this one is truly interesting... In 1986, Mikele Mebembe was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from Northwestern University. On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed, so Mikele approached it very carefully. He got down on one knee and inspected the elephant's foot and found a large piece of wood deeply embedded in it. As carefully and as gently as he could, Mikele worked the wood out with his hunting knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot. The elephant turned to face the man, and with a rather curious look on its face, stared at him for several tense moments. Mikele stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being trampled. Eventually the elephant trumpeted loudly, turned, and walked away.. Mikele never forgot that elephant or the events of that day. Twenty years later, Mikele was walking through the Chicago Zoo with his teenaged son. As they approached the elephant enclosure, one of the creatures turned and walked over to near where Mikele and his son Tapu were standing. The large bull elephant stared at Mikele, lifted its front foot off the ground, then put it down. The elephant did that several times then trumpeted loudly, all the while staring at the man. Remembering the encounter in 1986, Mikele couldn't help wondering if this was the same elephant. Mikele summoned up his courage, climbed over the railing and made his way into the enclosure. He walked right up to the elephant and stared back in wonder. The elephant trumpeted again, wrapped its trunk around one of Mikele's legs and slammed him against the railing, killing him instantly. Probably wasn't the same elephant.
  6. Great photos! Have you ever noticed how after having a couple of alcoholic beverages, you seem to be more inclined to buy watches?
  7. Yes, a photo of Mohammed blowing a goat might cause a wee bit of consternation in some circles.
  8. There are so many new micro-breweries in the U.S. now that they take up half the shelve space in most liquor stores. The quality of most of these beers is excellent and can hold it's own against European beer with no problem at all. The alcohol content is up there as well. The mass brewed beers in the U.S. like Bud, Coors, Miller, etc are in the category of what Pug describes to be sure, but they no longer dominate the beer market like they used to. Americans taste in beer has improved dramatically, so the quality has risen as well.
  9. Joshua had an injunction action against him and he was forced to remove all Hublot items from his website. Sometimes I wonder if all the hoopla on the rep sitesabout Hublot is causing difficulty for the dealers. No doubt it is.
  10. There is never a time when it is not "Beer Oclock"
  11. Good question VB, due to my defense of Andrew and Joshua, I have a total of 9 'unfriendly' icons, there are a number of other icon ratings also, but due to that subject and response and the new system, that 9 constitues a majority of icon ratings, which makes me out to be an unfriendly person, not true or fair. I hate labels. Oops was that unfriendly? Well excuuuuuuuuuse meeeeeeeeeee.
  12. Most likely, VB, the ones who made reference to the not so strong of wrist persuasion were like myself, just kidding.
  13. There are a couple of new Corums that just became available. They look great also
  14. Adolph frequently wore a multi colored Swatch. :hitler:
  15. I have been enjoying this catalouge for awhile. They did a great job on it, Hublot makes some amazing watches.
  16. It is so funny that I just tried this exact watch on not 15 minutes ago over at the Bvlgari store and it is fantastic, big , heavy and the best design I have seen so far of Bvlgari watches. Usually I am not a big fan of them but this one is way cool. It may be next on the list for sure.
  17. If you take care of your watch and service it every few years, there is no reason why it should not last a lifetime and more.
  18. Congrats on your 111. I got mine from Andrew also and love it. The rep straps that come on the pams pretty much suck. That is why many of us have around 20 different straps for the same watch. BTW the 111 looks very sharp in a stainless bracelet also.
  19. The Zigmeister, I have read many of your reviews and you are without peer in the rep world for a balanced ,thorough, and informative explanation of the subject at hand. Thanks much for another great review!
  20. Seeing that you are from Baltimore MD. You should have no problems. A good rule of thumb is to not order more than one watch at a time, as it will sail through customs much more easily. It is rare that a watch coming into the US is seized if in a solitary package.
