  1. Congrats, it is a gorgeous watch, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Angus will send you some extra screws and a screwdriver I am sure. It is a good idea to tighten all of them from time to time. The genuine version has some issues with screws coming out simply because there are so many. Again, enjoy your new beauty, it is awesome!
  2. Pugwash, I just saw your parody photo of Klink and chuckled a little bit.
  3. This is a good post and admin is right on the money on this one. There is so much great info here, but it seems of late more people are interested in the drama rather than watches.
  4. Actually Iron Eyes Cody in fact donated his hyde to make watch straps. Good call VB
  5. According to Hublot insiders and those in the know, the ceramic bezel made for their own watches and the ones which are built on the replicas are from the same factory in China. Hence the higher price, to a large extent. There was a crackdown on this and factory workers were searched upon days end to find who was pilfering bezels. Maybe it behooves those who want this watvh to get it while the supply is there, as it seems that another source must be had. I thought the ceramic bezel on my BB looked pretty damn good. :cc_chinese:
  6. I recall a quote from a certain film.... "You stupid English pig.....I fart in your general direction"
  7. Any watch you have will be fine. Sounds like a nice collection. Do bring a credit card, BTW, I live in Vegas and you do not want to get stuck here without an available source of funds to bail you out of whatever might happen, and anything can happen in this town.
  8. When it comes to levels of class and taste, there are those who are sadly lacking. It sounds as though you were biased against this fellow from the start, so an introduction to "our world" of rep collecting was the second choice before telling him what you really thought. Nothing wrong with that at all.
  9. Wishing you a Happy Pappy day Kenberg!
  10. I am very impressed by this post and the effort RYY has made to both compliment non vip members and encourage them to support this forum. The ONLY way RWG survives is with cash infusion. Expenses must be met or this website is history, that is the sad fact. It is great that there are so many contributors here. People who realize that if they spend a fair amount of time here and are rewarded in numerous ways by doing so have the good common sense and decency to throw a few bucks to the cause. Bravo to all who do! Those who spend alot of time here and do not contribute can make all the excuses they want for not helping out, but in the end, it is just being selfish and cheap to not support RWG with a token offering of gratitiude.
  11. For some reason it did not take. If a Mod with the ability can help, please do. thanks OK got it
  12. Here is my new avatar. It is a work of art created by an English fellow who used over 3000 diamonds fastened to the skull of "Fred", a fellow who lived to be about 35 years old and was alive from the lated 1700's to the early 1800's. This diamond encrusted skull is valued at $100 million dollars. Quite a gem of a noggin! Nevermind, while it is a very novel item. It is just too gruesome for an avatar, I am back to something less harsh, however here is a link to the story about the diamond skull. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20070830/wl_uk...rt_070830203229
  13. Today, it is my new baby..... Took this photo while driving around 210 MPH I have been reading that negotiations with Hublot and Paris Hilton on the new "Big Gang Bang " watch are nearing completion.. Have a great weekend everyone!
  14. The town of "Cangettaintedtoothpaste" ?
  15. I have decided not to post in this thread anymore. Today.
  16. I have not noticed it being at all uncomfortable. My wrist is 8" and so the strap is at the max, but it is just fine.
  17. I live in Vegas which has to be one of the most watch conscious towns around. It is bling central and you will see any and every kind of watch, high end, low end, genuine and rep. Vegas is a wristwatchers bonanza for sure. I grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii, the opposite end of the spectrum. Nobody wears a watch, nor do they really care what time it is. Thats how it used to be anyway
  18. I just donated 3or 4 weeks ago. Did that not get to where it was supposed to? I thought it was sent via a secure link?
  19. After just one week, my HBB rose gold & ceramic arrived. I bought it from Andrew, and it is absolutely the greatest watch I have purchased so far. It is simply a beautiful time piece. It works flawlessly and is a testament to great design. The fact that it cost twice what most reps cost? It is worth it and then some. I am quite happy with this one for sure.
  20. I just got my Hublot rose gold & ceramic Big Bang from the infamous 'cartel', and it is the favorite watch in my collection without a doubt.
  21. @ Pugwash, unfriendly? just out of curiosity, have you ever purchased anything from Trusty or Perfect Clones?
  22. The whole bottom line here with all this ridiculous BS, and make no mistake this is what this thread is , ridiculous BS, is that two guys are on a campaign to destroy "(very unsuccessfully) a couple of watch merchants, whom they have never, and this is key NEVER purchased one solitary watch, screw, or crown from. They have had ZERO personal experience with these merchants and they base their campaign on heresay and innuendo, which they seem to believe. The point here is why in the world would someone who is not personally affected by the actions of someone else do what they do? Is it an agenda? It is, to an extent, an agenda, it is an agenda of two clowns that have nothing better to do.
