  1. Nice idea, and I'm looking forward to see what our strapaholics will offer.
  2. For Friday, my 111 on a TC ostrich strap. Shot with DSC-T50 at 2007-08-17
  3. Chicken head sandwich with steaming pear sauce followed up by a big bowl of liver and pesto ice cream. mmmm
  4. Fiddy on Gator.. Shot with DSC-T50 at 2007-08-15
  5. Yes Chronus, there is an 18K solid gold Santos. I have tried one on at the Cartier shop in Caesars Palace where I work, $26,500.00, and a pretty nice watch, like to have it but my wife would serve me my testicles on a plate.
  6. Two people who are friends do not constitute a cartel. Wake up you Bozo. This is the real world. Business organisations tell untruths constantly. More than you can possibly imagine. Not to mention the fact that we are participants in an illegal business. If our dealers do something that we consider dishonest, then too effing bad, thats life. Now go and cry about it to your mommy Slay, you snivelling twit.
  7. This fiddy does indeed look like a good version, except that to concur with DuDro, the canon pin is a glaring mistake that really should be corrected before it is offered for sale. Andrew, if you read this, see about the factory fixing this issue so the buyer does not have to.
  8. Congrats on your beautiful new watch VB. Like the other fellow said, don't concern yourself with slays comments. He clearly has a chip on his shoulder. Why else would someone print such disdainful comments about a couple of guys who are just trying to run a business and are in no way seeking to "rip off" the users of this forum or any other people for that matter. I have done much business with both of them and they are decent and honorable fellows.
  9. Here is my Pam 172 on a rock with a Woodward custom gator strap. Shot with DSC-T50 at 2007-08-13 Here we are, fiddy at the atomic dome in Hiroshima Japan last week, August 8. This spot is where at 8:15AM on 8/06/1945 an atom bomb exploded 500 meters directly above killing 100.000 people instantly. Because the blast was directly overhead, this building remained somewhat intact, however the 120 people inside died in a nano second. It is one of the only buildings remaining and is a memorial to the event. A sombering experience for sure. Shot with DSC-T50 at 2007-08-13
  10. You know I don't think it is an issue of being smart enough to spend a persons money wisely or not, I totally say screw that mindset....Life is short, way to short and if someone wants to save their money and [censored] and moan about this and that then fine let them, not me, I will enjoy myself, and if the thing falls apart in a year, tough s**t, it made me happy for that long. :nopity: BTW I don't play the stock market. I find most stock brokers to unbearable pretentious jackasses, and as I have tried to put across, I spend my time and money on things that please me and leave my investm, ents in real estate.
  11. I am quite certain that any watchsmith worth his salt can sevice the HBB just fine. I just bought one and it is close to 800 bucks, and so what? I really fail to see what all the whining is about the price of this watch. Is the uproar because those who are complaining about it simply cannot afford it? I am starting to think so
  12. Fiddy Driving... Shot with DSC-T50 at 2007-07-29
  13. The exploding fiddy saga goes on. Thats a bummer there VB, the glass on your fiddy seems to be synthetic mineral for sure. Davidsen will send you a sapphire version, for replacement. His fiddys do not blow up and they are real sapphire. Because the fiddy glass cover is so large and curved, it has a much higher stress point, hence the explosions, and need for quality materials.

  17. Wow Muttsta, my hat is off to you. What a tremendous test of endurance combined with a great adventure. I can't believe I did not see this odyssey until yesterday. It has been a great read. Wishing you a hearty congrats and a continued safe journey.
  18. I have found that the best results occur when you walk into the dealer with a sturdy wooden baseball bat resting on your shoulder. As the negotiations get down to the nitty gritty, begin gently smacking the end of the bat into the palm of your hand, smile, and say that you think they can do a little better. Actually, never let them know that you want the car that much, that it is insignificant and that you are going elsewhere to see what kind of a deal you can get. Very important, the last thing they want is for you to walk and if you play that game well, you come out ahead. It is really to bad that buying a car is such a monumental pain in the ass.
  19. Well either your CC company did not list the most recent charges or you have been buying many packs of chewing gum
  20. I have about 18 straps for my fiddy and 232 both 47mm watches and they are all 26mm. You can squeeze a 26 mm onto a 44mm pam But you simply cannot put a 24mm strap on a fiddy, it will look goofy and you will see the lug bar between the lugs on the side of the strap. Bob will sell a nice 26mm strap for 30 bucks.
  21. There was a movie about a guy doing this in Austraila." Deck Chair Danny" Looks like fun.
  22. That is one kick ass watch Brad. Please stop making me feel the need to catch up to your collection.
  23. A 47mm should fit just fine. It is a big watch for anyone keep in mind, just a matter of personal taste whether you like it or not. You should get a pretty good idea just be doing a search of the many wrist shots here.
  24. Well said Tom, I concur with your POV and will be having this fantastic watch on my wrist soon.
