  1. Ahoy, from International waters... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Being born in 1982 leaves me with not nearly as many cool choices. My gut reaction is a sub 16800. However, I'm actually shopping for a watch for my 30th (September 27), and I'm being drawn to a Day-Date... I know I'm too young, but when I turned 25 I had a quarter life crisis and bought an Audi, so maybe I'll buy my old dude watch at 30 :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I'm just curious. I live in a pretty non-conspicuous apartment, and when we leave town I hide my watches in a great spot, but I still get paranoid as my gen collection is expanding (not to mention $1000s in Franken reps!). Does anyone here have a special policy or ryder to a current policy just for their watches? Thoughts/comments?

  6. So, I have a beautiful Tudor watch that's powered by the infamous Tudor 390. I need reversing wheels. I've managed to find 1. My watchmaker says he can make it work with one, but he'd prefer two, that way the life of the parts will be extended. My question is, can I use the one brand new part to have one CNCed? I don't know enough about how all of that works. Also, what do you think the cost of this would be? Oh, if anyone has some Tudor 390 parts out there, I'd much appreciate some help. Here are some macro pictures of what the part looks like. I'll let the pros tell me!
  7. If I buy anymore watches, one of you guys is going to have to put me up because I'll be kicked out of my own house

  15. Alright guys, I'm going to be working out of town for 4 weeks. I'll be driving to another location and staying at a Hotel. Anyone ever have something stolen from their room? Anyway, how many and which watches from my collection would you take? I will be wearing both casual (slacks and a polo/ button down) as well as formal (suit and tie). If you say 3, which 3 from my box. I want versatility... And before anyone asks, gens are the Speedy (moon watch-also have bracelet and a nice gray strap and leather NATO), DateJust and Connie -- I'm sure that may affect some people's choices. The rest are either modified or Franken. Thanks for any advice... --Jer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. I'll stick to my DW/Spinnmaster with the 7750. It's just as visually appealing with a fraction of the cost in the build (even with gen parts)!
