  1. A few of my rarer and discontinued models.
  2. Pretty sure I have seen that sweater before
  3. If I remember correctly the middle of the gen case back is brushed? (non-laureus) Looking at my rep the case back, it's the same and I just opened it up and it has all the same numbers. Also look at the movement, looks alot like a 7750... mine has a blank rotor but look at the mangled screw holding it in. IWC are known for their movements and fit and finish. Rep for sure.
  4. Wearing a Swiss 063 for Wednesday
  5. The crown on this broke and have replaced it with a new gen one so have had it on most of the weekend.
  6. Gerald who?? You have gotta love his dials and bracelets
  7. No wrist shot sorry but this combo.
  8. Today, The double AR makes a huge difference to the dial on this one!
  9. A couple of non branded pieces from Tourby
  10. I never said to remove them whilst set to 12 only reinstall them. I still remove the hands from 6497/8 movements at 12 due to habit and because my hand removal tool has a set of legs that may otherwise touch the hands. So no, on the 6497/8 you can remove the hands at any setting you please. EDIT: posted before your edit
  11. You do this for movements with a date, so when you reinstall the hands the date will still change at 12. You could advance the time till the date changes and then install the hands at 12 but it is easier to remove and reinstall them at 12
  12. It is so the minute and hour hands line up correctly, if you look at the black dial watch the hands are out. The hour hand is at around a quarter past three and the minute is about a ten to, so when the hour hand reaches 12 the minute will be around 12:30. You cant randomly stick them back on and hope they line up perfectly.
  13. It is not terminal at all you have just depressed the set lever out of place, to fix it you need to remove the dial and hands. You can kind of see what you have done HERE
  14. You may want to set the hands to 12 next time
  15. Coopers pale ale has been my beer of choice lately and the reason I was feeling slightly ropey on Sun morning Another to keep an eye out for is Little Creatures pale ale from WA.
  16. Today I'm wearing my closed factory 007 Tonight HAGWE people
