  1. That is going to be sweet! E
  2. Nice! Who's doing the work if you don't mind me asking? E
  3. Vly, Freddy actually had a nice write up on the HEV. I may do that next Spring on this case I have(same as yours) to finish the 1665. I switched from the 5514 case to this one (for the more correct bezel) and will use the 5514 for an Ubi inspired 5513 Pre-Comex. Correct case back is key and all of the other Gen parts fit correctly. What movement will you put in it? dial? E
  4. Enough said. Looks very nice Chief! E
  5. Dude, Just go with the 2783/4 and you will be happy. Correct Beat rate and no issues with feet glueing. Easier setup from the getgo for a build. E
  6. Please, don't forget Demi Moore in GI Jane. E
  7. Now is when the fun begins. Be well man. E
  8. Yuki, or Nostalgia for the bars. make sure to get 1000 grit wet/dry sandpaper as well. E
  9. This is the watch with the gen/franken rivet bracelet next to its short lived brother, a Speedmaster
  10. Little taste of the ETA dialed Explorer. I have to take the dial off and finish the "staining" process. Fixed the issue with the keyless works and the movement is in tip top shape now
  11. Where else can one source this type of bracelet from for under $100? E
  12. True inspiration for sure. E
  13. That's [censored] awesome! I should have kept a 6542 case to build one. E
  14. Misterioso
  15. Now, there's an idea. We all love digital media, but it will be nice to have something more than just a Calendar. There are plenty of amazing builds here and some great photographers that something like this can be done. If anonymity is an issue, then the Kodak print and order online should make this easier. Wedding photo albums are done this way as well. E
  16. Hmm, CT? E
  17. Building for the wife, but if she doesn't like it, it will go on sale. I intend on rebuilding them to gen specs and just slightly age the white dial a bit so that is not so "snow white" E
  18. HAHAHA. Thanks LHOOQ. You are a plethora of information. Learned something new for sure. E
  19. That's going to be a beaut! BTW, App store has it for free. Just downloaded it and works like a charm. E
  20. Quick question on the dial. The "o's" around t swiss t, are those normal/stock/gen? What's the story behind them? E
  21. LOL I'm rebuilding one soon and will post reviews and numbers on it. Will be using an ETA GMT movement though E
  22. Wait, so you DON'T want the dial to look new? Looking good for sure. E
  23. The date wheel is very nice though and I like the fonts. It is also brushed metal, not white laminate or paint. Hmm, decisions, decisions. I Can always save the date wheel for the 2784 movement, and use this movement for the 7922. I definitely want to get that one built. BTW, Tee, I have the snowflake movement(2784) the 9401 dial(from Ken, but I "fixed" it) and hands. Just waiting to see if I can fix the seconds hand, or use the one from a Yuki kit I bought(still waiting for it, I know , I know). Had to buy that because out of two flake hands sets, both had a missing carrier for the seconds hand. We shall see. E
  24. Comex 5513 all the way today. Actually had a patient ask me if my dad was an old diver. This guy used to do commercial diving in the Mexican gulf. Funny. E
