  1. Men watching soaps? LOl nah, the girl that plays the lead role is hot! I think (based on the picture) it will be hard to tell. I know Cameron Dias wore a 16610 in Knight and Day. My wife now wears one. E
  2. That's very nice indeed. There is this one "explorer" case I have that I may want to build a bigger 1016 with. I know I know. Looks perfect guys. This is one seriously understated, and beautiful watch. E
  3. I read some tech info on the 3035 dial feet being at 2:30 and 7:30 which I needed to verify. If the 2:30 foot is spaced out like the ETA2824, then there is only one foot to reposition. Just needed verification of this. E
  4. Never mind Freddy, I just read the post again. That line escaped my first reading. I'm ordering some parts from Gary and wanted to get some decent hands for the DRSD I'm finishing. Thank you. E
  5. So the 3035/3135 gen dials will fit the 2824-1 movements without modification, other than the datewheel? E
  6. So I broke down and purchased a case and bezel to build the 1665 "properly". The 5514 case is either going for sale, or will be in "storage" until I find a decent 5513 dial. Question about hands: What should be the correct hands for a DRSD? This is going to have the 2846 movement I am rebuilding(fingers crossed) E
  7. Digging through old posts for answers. Which are the correct hands for a DRSD? E
  8. NOICE!!!! Pictures E
  9. Found these at OFrei's http://www.ofrei.com/page521.html E
  10. I like that dial a lot E
  11. Not worthy not worthy not worthy E
  12. Nanuq is at it again. Top one rep with Gen crystal. Bottom one Gen dial at least. E
  13. I prefer the 5512(gen at least if I could find one) based on the chronometre rating alone. It is also the "real" McQueen watch. Double whamy in my book. The Josh case is not bad and has a nice thick case back as well. The CGs can be trimmed and the "meat" between them shaved down a bit. Makes it so much better. JMB did something like that. E
  14. Looks nice. I saw that Silix has the ones with the asymmetrical pushers and lemania movement for $268? good deal if you ask me. E
  15. Three on the three. Best of everything. Bench seat for the girl to slide over and get close to you and nothing getting in the way and still have full control of the transmission. E
  16. Nice one. DW's? E
  17. Update: New pushers installed and everything is back to normal. Added case-back gasket and she is fully water tight again. Need new crystal(will polish this one for now) and correct crown/tube. Found some Gen pushers, but will save those for later, specially if I get the PN dial and the vintagizing done. E
  18. Should work, but check the pressure values. Shattered glass in your face is not cool at all. E
  19. Sweet!
  20. Nanuq that is awesome!! Is your Rover a diesel? I need to get one of those. The test should be done if you want a watch you can wear every day, for every day situations without worrying, or "odd" embarrassing moments. If you're just wearing the watch like a woman wears a clutch purse, then no need to test it. Just make sure you don't have to stick your hand in a pool or jacuzzi while wearing the watch. Of course, tossing the watch in a pool and fetching it will prove the best method of "real life test" E
  21. I built one using a pressure brake bleeder pump(pumps to 50PSI) and a nice 1/2" thick Pasta "jar" I used this calculator thanks to Pompe from the Homageforum. You can always use clear plexi pipe, but it has to be thick enough to hold the pressure with the water. You don't want to test for 300mm, as you will need a LOT of pipe and water this way, but for 50m it's perfect. if you do your own brakes, you can always use the pump to bleed your system every two years as you should anyways. E
  22. +1 Jkay. Best suggestion would be to have someone fashion a plug that fits the HEV hole with the correct threads and seal it that way. You can always have this plug machined so it looks like the valve. A working Gen HEV will more likely run you the same if not more than the whole watch is worth, and you still have to work the case to fit it in. I think Freddy333 had a post with the HEV measurements. Maybe Justin can machine something like that to fit that case. E
  23. Looks good. E
  24. The rep HEV is backwards for what you need on the DSSD. You may be able to fit a Gen HEV and try it. You can always epoxy the HEV shot and try 2000m. If it works, please let me know. E
  25. Wrong, just wrong LOL I need to dig in my bins for my SW memorabilia. Akira, love the build. E
