I'm sure to avoid legalities the "tells" need to be there. Kind of like the Shiterland instead of Swi......
As long as I can use a gem dial and hands without too many headaches I'm ok. Just don't want to be copying just for copying and tricking. E
That explains the great equipment setup!!! Nice
I love the case set. I have a similar watch( I say similar because it doesn't look as good) What source for the bracelet? I have a gen/franken one for my 6263 and it doesn't look that much different than the one in the pictures.
E
One thing to add, the Ofrei t-19s are closer to gen in diameter than the Clarks. The fit is better and with snap, no need to trim the crystal, however, the dome is not the same. The Ofrei ones tend to be more like the service crystal with almost no dome. SK is tops.
E
I don't have any other gen pushers to compare them too. I bought mine as used gens. I do have the aftermarket ones that are being sold at $20 a pop to compare those to. I did notice that the gens I purchased have a longer plunger than the $20 units. I have to take the case apart anyways, but not for a week. I need to find a t21 crystal for the 6263 I have as this one is all scratched at the 12 o'clock from the previous case owner. I do have to say, the turning and pushing of the "gens"(calling them that from now on until someone can verify) is tighter/smoother than the $20 units.

Same place you lurk at my friend
I ordered a freaking big crown case and got the case with a DJ crown on it. Sooooo mad. I'm not crazy about these Silix cases though. The crystal mounting is the same as the newer sub cases, which without a gasket, won't seal too much. I will just have to order a 5513 cheap trevor watch and go with that.
One thing I know is that when I send Justin the case back, I may need him to fabricate a spacer ring depending on the case I end up using.

ETA 2763. I cannot cross reference it to any Subs, but I think the Prince may have gotten this movement. It's running smooth right now and winds tight. I wanted the .390 or 116*, but for the price, it will have to do. Beats at 21,600, but that's ok
Looks a lot like the 1180 in this
E
It's not super correct for the project, but it is a gen movement that I can use.
Just not sure if to use this for the snowflake, or to use it sans-date for the 7922 big crown. What do you guys think?
E
Hmm, 7169? I like the black dial.

This dial in the 7031 case set/bezel is IT for me Photoshoping later tonight as I cannot find any images. This I found out is a 70330n. Notice the minute counter @ 9 o'clock
Thanks Vly
E
Definitely does. I just wanted to make sure that I don't end up with a too weird for Springer watch lol I like the idea of the black on black though.
Thanks Vly, all I can find are the folded 7836 bracelets.
E
Quick retarded Halloween question on the 7031. Since I am ordering one of these kits soon, I wanted to know if anyone has ever seen, or built a 7031 with the black dial? I read somewhere(cannot remember now) that the two options were available. Also, what should the correct bracelet be for this model? 78360?
Thank you , no hijacking
E
From the GOOGLE searches it is a good movement. This is the same movement as the Lemania/Seagull copy ST19( I think). Once you reach full wound, you can tell. There is a ratchet wheel that holds the mainspring one way. What watch do you have? when you say you overwound it, what are the symptoms exactly?
E
Just to kick a dead horse, the date window is not as "sharp" as gens. The L under the coronet should be a dead giveaway. I have a better Noob dial than that one, and I did not pay that much. eBay is getting ridiculous.
