  1. Did not know. Well, it's a waiting game now. TC's 2824 is not a bad choice at all. I have it on a TC sub I built using all of his parts except for a BigCrown crystal and gen gaskets and insert/pearl and crown. So far the movement is rock steady and the hand stack has the correct height. Not noisy either, which is a big plus.
  2. Some really nice watches for sure. Quaresma's 5512 I'm digging for sure(Please use a Yoda voice when reading this) Just finished a dial an hands swap on my trusty. 6309-704* Now I need to find a bezel insert to match
  3. I wasn't aware of that. Last I checked the price has gone up from what I paid, but shows stock on the website.
  4. My hat's off to you whoop. Dealing with factories and different sources can be daunting to say the least. The dials look great. E
  5. The best bet is to have it drilled to fit the gen spring bars and be worry free.
  6. My 16610 franken. May have to sell it, so trying to wear it as much as I can.
  7. If you have the tooling do it brother. Plus it will help with the insurance once completed.
  8. Pan, the sad thing is that I told the police about all of the finger prints left behind by the thieves, including cigarette butts and a dirty rag(I had just come out of surgery an it was a stormy night so the neighbors were all locked in their little boxes) and the cop straight out told me that they don't do that. They do not finger print, not collect evidence on bikes. That week alone five bikes were stolen on a mile radius. Crime is only stopped when it is important enough was what I gathered.
  9. Sucks man! I went through that two years ago when the less than 1k miles Kawasaki 600r was stolen from under my apartment. Wheel lock in front disc and still taken away. Two months of fighting over the phone with an adjuster who swore I sold the bike for "street value" right after I invested 2k in pipes and chipping. Sucks. Krypto makes a really nice floor anchor to which you pass their chain through and secure the bike to the chassis/frame that way. If you have you own garage or parking lot space, you're golden. I had to get a permit for drilling the garage floor, but once done, the 4 18" bolts I put in with lead anchors plus the 1/2" plate and steel loop was not going anywhere. Looks decent and out of the way and does what it needs to do. Good luck brother
  10. The y3135 is for sale on yuki's site. Send the movement to someone that knows what they are doing and you'll be fine. I have had three movements serviced with no issues and currently running strong. One on the watch I am currently wearing with no issues for the past year. Loosing/gaining 5 seconds or much less on average. Even the gen stem fits with no issues.
  11. The price of the movements plus a service puts you very close to a complete gen 14060. Why not just buy the gen? The y3135 movement with a service is a very sensible choice and all gen parts fit with exception of the gen date disc, which has to be reduced in diameter slightly.
  12. I would love to get my hands on the one to the top right.
  13. The Milgaus is really nice indeed. Also digging the tropic strap on the noob Wearing this little franken today.
  14. The 3035 may actually run more expensive to use as it will most definitely need a service to run. Make notes to build a franken first then look for a proper movement to upgrade later. Easiest and simplest way to start. Yields a really nice watch as well as satisfy the "need". Who knows, after you're done you may change your mind entirely.
  15. For now a repolished DW plexi. I'm still hunting for a black bezel
  16. I wonder if anyone has the correct "crush fit" measurements for the gen spec crystal against the bezel to keep it all water tight and sealed. I am afraid to ruin both the bezel and crystal by taking too much. E
  17. Starting the week with the Monte on a black NATO.
  18. The case could be an ST case. I happen to like these cases a lot.
  19. It is a y3135 serviced by Chris. Almost fits like a glove but my main concern was the stem height. It is just right.
  20. The TC case can be a great base for the build. I'm actually looking for a case to trade my TC V5 case for. That said(as Woof mentioned) I love the lug holes on a tool watch.
  21. Definitely looks like a gold pearl swap.
