  1. 3130 from a 14060?
  2. It gives me the "Dark Knight" feel to see it like this

    God's way

It is sad. Funny as hell though Example given here:
  4. I got to this post late. Some of the case backs I have from josh fit perfectly. The 1665 and alike are too fat for the 29.5(correct size by the way). I have not tried this on a yuki case back or anything else. The same tool fits fine on all of my other Rollies. The 16600,16660, 5514, 16800, 7032 and the DW Daytona. So it is definitely the case back itself. Try the sticky ball method and use even pressure and good lubed gasket. No dirt absolutely I always take my watches in the water. If I have to worry about it getting wet I don't need it or want it. Rep or gen
  5. Tempting. With new AR on the crystal and a relume you cannot beat these.
  6. I have used talcum powder with lacquer for no Luke hands and it works great. Looks like old age trit and aged to perfection.
  7. @JoeyB, Sorry brother I thought you were joking. Been studying too much for finals lately. I will definitely tackle the lume but will wait. I kinda like the way I looks now. @Allogoat, The odd thing is that the ST parts fit perfectly for the 3035/3135 cases. I have plans to build a 14060 for the Spring as a daily wearer. No one makes that bezel assembly. I have extra parts from ST and no issues whatsoever. Now, their plexi sub parts are definitely not the same. I will try Gary and see if there's a complete assembly that will work. I wish I had a lathe. I'll let you know if I find anything. Still searching for 593s lol
  8. Looking good. I'm torn between the Pvd or the SS
  9. Joey? Are we smoking the good stuff today? lol
  10. If you MUST put the gen insert in(I've done this a few times with the SD V2 already) you need to pop the crystal out and pry off the old insert out with a scalpel or exacto knife. The gen pearl makes a huge difference. The issue with the gen insert is that you need to trim it in overall diameter and take some off the bottom as well. Not that hard but you need a steady hand and no caffeine in your system. If you do it right, you won't need glue, but I added a bit anyways just for good measure( lost a gen insert diving this past Sumer while taking off the BCD. These watches are great btw. @Alli, Love your build and soon will finish the ones I'm working on. Will document the whole thing but waiting for the Y3135 movement to get serviced first
  11. Thanks Woof. I should be working on school work for sure. The hands I will match later and the case WILL get some serious work done. I'm liking the crystal the way it is, even though it's not something I have seen in any pictures online. @Alligoat, I need a new insert altogether and bezel assembly. The ST it's just odd. The insert is THEIR insert and doesn't fit THEIR bezel. Go figure. I'll check with diesel. I have a 7206 bracelet for this, but may go for a franken 9315 if I can get a decent clasp later on. For now the NATO is ok by me. E
  12. Wore this thing all day q
  13. As I'm getting ready to finish a project for fellow member Horologist(I have had some issues with humidity leves and luming) I was going through parts boxes to look for packing material and different parts. I found my old 5514 case which I thought was lost. Needs a different bezel assembly as the ST(fitst word rhymes with Tsar and last one with Chime) sucks a$$ and took me forever to get it to fit the Ofrei crystal. The bezel insert I still need to find, because I want something gen and not too aged. Movement is a 2846 serviced last summer Dial is a Feet first and aged by HighHoe I believe which I glued to the spacer(got lucky this time and may try the same combo on the 666 to finish another project) Hands are Clark's untouched Crystal is an Ofrei "odd" T39(This one tapers away from the bezel a bit instead of coming straight up) Rolex Comex 729 thick case back but will just leave it with the RC and crown stamping ST bezel assembly and insert Old Yuki trip crown and tube(May change this to a different setup, perhaps even the 702 I have been saving) Old Trevor 5514 case with correct HEV(lubed o-ring and tested for water tightness) Lug holes drilled for gen bars and haven't modified anything else. Just slapped this together while waiting for lume to dry(literary) Ofrei Crystal Vs Standard T19 Service crystal
  14. This is going to be epic
  15. That's my dream car. Diesel, full Cage and a quiver of surfboards on top.
  16. The case is definitely thin. I wonder if the 5513 looks the same.
  17. I have had the same problem. I'm actually using a smaller format to avoid that. I don't have a pro account though
  18. Wearing this today. Custom strap by SergeD and watch inspired by Ed Olterra
  19. I keep seeing more Tudor and Sub reps pop up on eBay. There's even a guy selling an aged NDT dial as gen right now. Also someone else selling a used manhand dial! From Oz a complete TC V4 case as a replacement gen for 1200!
  20. I don't get it. These are also the same people asking all the time how to make something more gen like.
  21. I have been using tapatalk and have no complaints.
  22. Lovely watch Ubi. Started us too early but worth it. I'm still Subbing it today.
  23. Jackjo case SSD v2 Z serial will not fit the gen insert without modifying it(sand down the OD about .11mm) and flatted the bottom part about the same or more to have it sit right. If done correctly you won't need to glue the insert. Just be careful. Every case is different. Now, the Jackjo case is called that because of the modd'er who worked on it already(Crown guards trimmed, etc) and are the better picked of the bunch. The crystal is not gen and gen crystal will not fit. The HEV works like the gen one(ie: it pushes out from the case) Bezel is tight and correct thickness and has a solid feel No removable rehaut, no gen like bezel construction Gen dial does fit \ no rehaut issues on Jackjo case(May want to trim a bit further as I have done though) A 3135 movement will fit tightly so a custom movement spacer needs to be sourced. A 2836-2 fits well and correctly. The case looks awesome though(Been working on three of these two of which I had JMB drill the lugs for) I retrimmed the CGs a bit as I was after a particular look. Have fun with the project brother.
