  1. Is it an easy fix? That is a good thing to know. It will be interesting to see how many of these movements end up in discarded DJ and old DDs that were sourced for the gen movement. I can definitely see a resurgence of these watches if this movements proves good enough. E
  2. Rhys what I thought but (like damn dejavu) I read somewhere and can't find it now to put silicone grease on the bottling of the Nikon gasket or GS glue. I have no issues until I installed the same gasket back. Hopefully the new one will do the trick. Word to the wise, no reusing nylon gaskets in these subs.
  3. [censored], that's not good. Could be the day jumped has the wrong spring? Or maybe the date wheel is the wrong one?
  4. Now I need to become versed in these 3035/3135 movements. Great little review.
  5. Thanks brother! That is great to hear. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Did the movement fit the gen case screws? Tight tolerances against your sub case? E
  6. Sounds good so far. Thanks brother. E
  7. Watcher, let us know what it looks like and such. Yuki claims no set screws come in(case screws). I would like to know if the movement fits the case correctly etc.
  8. I have a gen 16800 dial with the right patina and aged look. Guess I will have to find a set if hands to match. Right now the budget is super tight. E
  9. Very nice watches guys. Submariner for me.
  10. Had to bro. This week I'm going to have to sell some things. Not happy about it, but I have to. It will all work ou in the end.
  11. Now for the topic of hands, are Yukis 3035 hands acceptable? I have been searching for something "affordable" and it's either Yuki, WSO(which I hate to say look damn good) and Clark's. E
  12. As much as I hated to do it, I sold this one.
  13. I found this post. I honestly think there needs to be a Sapphire Sub section. Is the nylon gasket installed dry against the crystal and case? I cannot confirm this. Thanks for posting guys. E

That was supposed to be BK case. Post edited. Thanks for catching that. E
  15. Awesome DIY.

    Tc parts

Yeah Al has some parts. In this game(I hate to call it that) one must be very patient. I may have a BK case for sale with reworked crown guards. The race lets are worth the wait, or you can buy Al's right now. Patience IS virtue
  18. Everything is traceable. The thing is that as long as these cases are available, the goose should not be gutted.
  19. Freddy, you breaking night tonight brother? 666 for me as I'm testing this thing. Right now wearing this E
  20. I'll pm you later brother. I'll stop naming names of sources. If the admins can filter out the source name that will work too. I'll try to edit my posts as much as I can. E
  21. Awesome post for sure. Thanks for sharing the knowledge guys.
  22. Ok, really dumb question here(there seems to be a lack of a Sapphire Sub specific FAQ I searched) New crystal gasket every time I remove the crystal ring and re-install, correct? I got lazy the last time I fiddled with the watch. I'm now drying it after a water test. Prior to that the watch has been in the water a lot. I have a few spare gaskets so no worries. Just wanted to "clarify" as I am still new to these sapphire Rollies. E
  23. That is what I was looking for Dan. I plan on building a 16800 with this eventually. I wanted the look of a watch that has been used and serviced and polished and abused. The case as it comes is more like this(I can't seem to find my original pictures anywhere): Picture courtesy of the OG supplier.
  24. Brown dial sub.
  25. SSD using a SLSD dial. Cheating I know.
