Well a lot of WM9 products have been hitting the shelves lately if you want a true 1:1 there ya go! as far as "the perfect watch" GEN always or frankenstein. if your looking at doing the basic franken mods like insert, crystal, crown, and tube TW BEST is a great route to take for subs. its basically a WM9 V1
I am just starting to look at PAMS and figure I may kick off the new year with a PAM 111. I do not really know much or anything really about PAMS! been reading but I am still scratching my head about all this H factory and the rest of the makers...Basically I want a 111 that can keep up with my BK TW sub as far as quality goes. any recommendations!?
Agreed. I mean you could always go vintage GMT route. Less questionable but idk how the hand stack order differs on vintage and late model..other wise your gonna have to take a risk if you really want CHS
Even if they have an "update" you still have to see how it does in the long run for example the SA3135 looks promising how ever only time will tell...you really gotta ask yourself...are your friends really gonna know the hand stack order on a GMT?
I'd say to put this app to the real test run it with a real timing machine at the same time as the app and see what numbers we get. Any one have a legitimate timing machine?
Well i'll be happy to tell you that it has a gen crystal! so looks like the main way to fix this is go with an ingod44 dial from EBAY then get a DWO from JMB and have it all installed.
And here is a side question about INGOD...why are his dials only 125? are they genuine rolex or aftermarket? also I assume I have to clip the feet to get the dial on the movement?
How did you get a gen date wheel for your 1680 and How is it fitted to your movement if you dont mind me asking? I have a 1680 gen crown, tube, crystal and the entire watch is completely thrown off by the DWO it is horribly to the left and is driving me crazy. If I could go gen great!! and if I had a gen movement! I would put that bad boy in my 1680 any day!
I have a 1680 that I just got up and running again and the DWO is horrible on it. sits far to the left and I am just wondering who might be the best RWG service tech to send this off to. Also even though it keeps great time now it needs an over-haul because changing the time seems to be a tough task on this watch as it is rough and grinds a tad. also I would love to put a really nice dial on it with RED lettering instead of the great white dial it has in it now. Other then these things I love this watch and am so glad it came from RWG! just need to fix her up so I can strap a NATO and call it a day!
My current watchmaker whom ive been seeing for years says first off that there from china???!!! and on top of that states that for him to repair them real or not would cost as much as a new one??? ill probably just take both movements else where and see if a watchsmith can combine the two and make it work...I want my 1680 to work already! and need to order a nato...
Ya I hear you on the don't but now it doesn't even matter I have two dead 2846 low beat movements on my hands! if any one can point me to a reliable source to a low beat eta I will be very happy
I have a 1680 I bought recently from a member here and someone told me its supposed to have a silver date-wheel. Right now it has a white sort of sparkly datewheel that really hangs to the left. What is the correct datewheel and who would be able to re-do the datewheel over-lay? Also if indeed it has to have a silver datewheel where can I source one? Rep or gen?
