  1. Wow. That is nice! What are the details? Nice 1680!
  2. I think someone on another board just found out that it has been discontinued. Sorry! That is a shame, too, because it was a good case.
  3. Thanks so much! Now I'm excited to do a big crown again. Seriously, this dial just propelled a big crown build up to the top of my list. [emoji106] [emoji2]
  4. Hey guys, so just to confirm - Helenarou has all of these files and can make the changes for the red text? We just tell him what text we want it to read? I don't have Photo Shop, but it sounds like both you and 508-fanatic have provided him with the files for both the 300/1000 text and the 200 m = 660 ft text.
  5. It is really sad that all it takes is a few bad actors to completely ruin the play. Probably 99% of us are nice and generous people, trying to enjoy a fun hobby together and share resources with each other. When this stuff happens it makes it more difficult to do that.
  6. The blue and red ones are currently $2,795 on Jomashop with stainless bracelet. With the leather strap it is $2,495. Bummer that this one also isn't on Jomashop. Wouldn't that be awesome? Like MoaB said, I bet in 6 months or so we will see this one here, too. Full 2 year warranty, serial #s, boxes, papers, and no sales tax. Free shipping, too.
  7. Great find! I might do that when the time comes. Those are great prices and there is no reason why this one won't be priced the same. It is already the same MSRP price as the others. Do you get the boxes and papers, too?
  8. There is some counter intuitive aspect to the aging issue. I have not actually tried any steps yet myself (I will soon), but here's what I do know. Tritium turns lighter in sunlight and darkens/patinates in the dark. Therfore, a safe queen with little to no wear should actually have the most developed patina. But this is not what people do when they age their reps. They do the opposite. They age the case and bezel, making it look like it was beat up through years of use out in the sun, and they age the dial markers and hands with lots of patina. In reality, a watch with that much natural wear would have little patina on the lume. So to make a believable piece, you either need to age everything else and then keep the markers and hands creamy, or age those and keep the rest of the case clean and well cared for. This is the route I like. I take care of my belongings and there is no reason why any of my watches would be trashed.
  9. Very kind of you. I'll PM you when I get a chance. I had a few minutes of downtime while on my computer this afternoon and I looked at my copy of "The Submariner Story." Now I'm not so sure. A lot of what I saw in there actually had the 200m = 660 ft like what 508-fanatic drew up. If his dial mock up is available in 29mm size then I might want to go that route. They all look so awesome!
  10. Thanks for the info. After looking at gen 6538 dials with red depth, and seeing Droptopman's amazing red depth Voldemort dial, I'd really like one that just reads 200 / 660. No feet or meters mentioned. I wonder if that is possible? So literally take the OP's original 300 / 1000 and just change the numbers.
  11. That's an awesome looking dial. I'm just not ready yet. I really hope this is something that he will keep the design for and can make again. How much is the original 29mm ETA feet dial with the 300/1000 text?
  12. Easily raped? LOL!! LMFAO This is gorgeous but those snowflake hands still kind of bug me. In some respects they ruin what would otherwise be a beautiful design. As I stare at these pics on the website I'm torn. I still might get one someday. Are there other Tudor hands that would work with this? I don't care about warranty. I'd still swap them out.
  13. Wow. This is a beautiful build. Very nice work! I haven't even looked at this case before. It looks great. I love the overall look of this piece.
  14. Wow! This is so cool. So do you know if we have to buy the dial right now, or is this something he will now have the design for and we can contact him at a later date and say that we want that particular dial?
  15. My understanding (from what I have read) is he sells the full bracelet or you can just buy a clasp, too. I also think as long as you are buying something, the communication is free flowing. After you've bought it, then it is another situation. He also works a different full time job and this is just a hobby for him, so I completely understand that.
  16. Are you going to change the crown and use the Athaya 8mm Brevet instead of the rep 704? Very interesting about the dial. Earlier this summer, a member from a different forum went to Helenarou and spoke with him about the build. He said he had all of the parts readily available except for the dial, but he would get that piece of the puzzle if there was demand for it. Is he only producing this for you in a one-time batch run, or is he going to make this a standard offering? I think the impression earlier this year was he would make this readily available. Maybe this has changed. A lot of time has passed and it doesn't seem like many people are attempting this.
