  1. Some of the rep retaining rings have a flaw, they don't like to seperate because of the way they were engineered Gens are only meant to hold the bezel on the watch there's no pocket like some of the rep retaining rings Best I can do to show from a side view: top flawed rep ring, bottom correct gen ring. The x is where the metal wire sits
  2. Yes correct, it is supposed to be a very snug fit. Sounds like you need a new retaining ring. Sometimes the retaining ring needs sanding to fit well and maybe yours was sanded a tad too much? It's going to be a nightmare to separate the bezel from the retaining ring.. You may need to literally cut the retaining ring off, phong can do it and is in Arizona he has retaining rings too but his are higher end and it looks like that may be a budget build
  3. Imo the retaining ring wasn't installed right to begin with, it happens, to put it back on you can do it with a small tool, put the assembly back on and press down using your hands to get it started, you should only have a slight gap at this point, then using a tool and only pressing down on the retaining ring itself you can get it to sit properly. Go around the retaining ring and apply downward pressure with the tool at a few (5-6) spots. It is very hard to separate a bezel and retaining ring when they are not installed on a case, you will damage one or both parts if you try. But putting it back on is really easy Ps insert off during the process, reinstall insert once the assembly is back on and seated properly

  5. Good idea, and there's always room for negotiation, I never pay what they ask well almost never lol. Good luck on the hunt
  6. Ah, a beauty, I thought you meant red-black, I've heard the 16710 referred to as that! The rootbeer's are cool, especially with the orig two tone rivet bands
  7. Do you mean a 16710? Prices aren't so bad now, it will get worse as the worlds economy's grow/recover I feel like this isn't the worst time to grab a nice piece, it will only get harder. Go for it
  8. I'll ask him, not sure if he will tell me though!
  9. Not bad, I agree with freddy sharpening things up and getting the texture right is possible. My dial guy does it pretty good, I can ask him for the formula if anyone is interested, it doesn't glow
  10. One of the nicest watch dials ap makes, it's also the nicest of the 3 colours they make it in. I really like it, big congrats!
  11. Played with the contrast and exposure after inverting the colours, all in the photoshop app on my iphone. I noticed the marks but to really see them well I find it helps to do this
  12. You may want to think about a donate option like we used to have. I for one used to use that option long before I became a paying member.. It was easy and there was no monthly fee to keep track of. Thanks Mike! You're a champ
  13. Your front yard is bigger than my community park.. Ahh city life
  14. Did you say something? I think those things should be mentioned publicly when noticed
