Ouch is right! Another winter mountain biking injury to add to the growing list, you're kids must think you're invinceable. Don't know how you do it, I love winter but danger mixed with frozen weather is were I draw the line

No, from my British friend

I can't be in the club I never bought one of his case sets, was in the midst of a big crown build then... I do however have a friend who has a mint pre comex dial for sale and hand set to match, hmmm

You, you're good These HH cased 5514's are all going to be super builds, looks like you win though, first one to complete!

http://www.network54.com/Forum/207673/message/1387297677/Dials+for+sale You can have the marker with some missing lume touched up, make him an offer, money well spent, don't waste your money on a dissapointing high end replica/redial
-
No he was trying to help your Franken by telling you about a breitling rotor that would help make the movement look like a breitling one, you can just leave the rotor from his movement on if you like it just won't say breitling that's all

The best approach may be to take very precise measurements from a gen 5512/3 and so the only approximating you would be doing is with the crown guards. There are hundreds of measurements needed for this and you shouldn't rely on others for the info if you want to do it right!

Lol, didn't realize.

That one is good!

The font on the white dials is serif'd but that from what I've seen is a feature of the white dials only, the blue/blacks all have the non serif'd fonts like the op's dial

Thanks, I did my best, someone else can take it from here. There's something funny about the window and 3-6-9 markers though.. They aren't supposed to be rounded in any way the gen has very sharp and flat lines, the markers too, they are supposed to be flat and thicker... The date windows left wall is crooked which is odd (breitling qc would have caught that you would think) funny thing is it is better than any rep dial I've seen by far so again very interesting case and either a great rep dial or an older gen dial that they phased out early.
-
I know nothing about breitling sorry. The dial looks better than the reps I've seen but the date window and markers look wrong/off to me vs the gens I've compared it to, so either a very high quality replica or maybe a gen but older version which had thinner metal surrounds on the 3-6-9 markers? I'm not sure..

Pics - Vintage Rolex - Where can I find a rep of this?
cc33 replied to GWP123's topic in General Discussion
You can't, it's a 6200 and impossible to find one that looks convincing. I made a 6538 that was similar but I've replaced the dial since and sold it to ubi My dial maker is not making any more and it's hard to find a good gilt dial! -

You have lots of them actually If you need a gen part and are worried about it being rep a lot of us here can help you if you post decent pics of the item in question, you will learn it's just a matter of time and willingness
