Thanks mt, gen t17 bezel, insert, crown, movement and band, phong case and custom dial with Michael Young (cwp) hands
-
Love that 6200 awesome with that suede looking band!
-
Yes it really looks like a gen dial plate, older one prob for a gilt dial, it still has the galvanic stuff on the back.
-
I feel like it looks right, I'm done fiddling with it. It's as gen looking as its going to get imo until the case gets a little more natural wear to it.. Few years of wearing and polishing ought to do the trick. Thanks Nanuq and Vibramute. V, the dial is from my dial maker, pm me for his info if you like, I agree it's a nice dial!

A friend of mine offered to take photos for me with an actual camera instead of my iPhone, I just got the pics from him and wow, big difference! I'm definitely going to get a light box and basic camera so I can do it myself. I love Jacek's pics (gen dealer) and hope to be able to get them to look like his one day. These are done by a friend who has a second hand watch store in town.

There's just something about that creamy vintage lume that I love!

You said it! You are really getting good at this, can we see some closeups please -
-
I asked because I was going to provide you with the address of a watchsmith in your area but you seem to know one, pay him a visit. 10-20$ at most
-
Very good idea! Every city on earth has a watchmaker that can remove a piece of lint from a dial. It's not likely at all that its a scratch, if your watchmaker says it is, then that's a dif story.
-
If you don't mind me asking what city are you in jbg?
-
A hair would bother me too, I don't think he scratched it, it's a typical place for a fibre to wedge itself, it prob happened when he placed the dial/movement back in the case, it happens to me sometimes with my watchmaker. He takes care of it for free as yours will do, it's basically up to you, pay for it to be sent back or go find a local watchsmith in your area who can remove that fibre in a few minutes while you wait
-
Are you sure it's a scratch? It may be a fibre or hair of some sort stuck between the case and dial

There's no chrono movmt thin enough to make a convincing rep
-
There is no version of the chrono available unfortunately.

I emailed him lets see what he does

Ya it looks amazing and for a good price, try to stay away from ebay if you can generally better and more honest deals to be had on the forums
-
My advise would be to consider this one http://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/fs-vintage-rolex-watch-oysterdate-6694-original-7205-rivet-bracelet-ca1225-899683.html At 1150$ usd it's a steal! All original and comes with a yummy rivet band.

No no that's boys size it will look silly

No problem, dial is refinished as stated but otherwise nice
