  1. That's pretty epic news... I may just have to get myself on the 127 action now.
  2. I concur with many of the statements here. For me the connection to the rep begins when I start putting my own work into it. Piecing together parts and breaking things and replacing them and doing it myself as much as I can. The only pieces that stick around are ones that I've worked countless hours on and finally achieved something epic with them.
  3. + 1 Or 2846 would he same stem height and lower beat rate if that's what you need. Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk 2
  4. You'll need new hands, dial feet, as well. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  5. Gavidoc and Panerai153, Thanks for catching my error! You are correct that the 2894 is 28,800. I can't believe that after looking at so many pages I missed that It's still bizarre to me that the 2776 is listed even in other records as 21,600 bph. http://hiro.alliancehorlogere.com/en/Under_the_Loupe/ETA_2776 http://www.weltderuhren.eu/uhren-technische-dokumentation/uhren-hebewinkel/eta.html (about halfway down the page) It seems that interestingly enough the date versions of 9411/0 had the higher beat 28,800 bph however the no-date of the 9401/0 has the 21,600 bph. Peculiar indeed........
  6. Gavidoc, I think this is where we disagree. I cannot find evidence of the 2776 and 2784 that are 28,800. Is there some reference you can find that might help clarify the issue? If you note the ranfft research I did the data there seem to suggest that both of those movements came in 21,600 bph. Thanks. Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk 2
  7. I realize that this is a very old thread but it was a great resource to me and I'm sure others who search will find it as well so I wished to make a small clarification from what I've found in my research. The ETA 2776 that originally came on the 9411 was in fact 21,600 bph as was the 2784 on the 9401 so if anyone plans to use a 2824 (which runs at 28,800) then the beat rate would be incorrect. So in actuality the 2846 being 21,600 would be a great fit for those who plan on using a Cartel 5513 case as they're already made to fit a proper stem height of a 2836-2 and so they'll fit right in the case with minimal modifications. The 2873 would also be correct. Resources are as follows: http://www.mwrforum....ead.php?t=24930 (halfway down the page listing the movement calibres) Gen: 2776 : http://www.ranfft.de...&2uswk&ETA_2776 2874: http://www.ranfft.de...&2uswk&ETA_2784 Our use: 2824-1 (WRONG beatrate): http://www.ranfft.de...uswk&ETA_2824_1 2824-2 (WRONG beatrate): http://www.ranfft.de...uswk&ETA_2824_2 2846 (CORRECT beatrate in both 17 and 21 jeweled versions): http://www.ranfft.de...&2uswk&ETA_2846 Please let me know if I've made any incorrect judgements. Thanks.
  8. Very interesting read thanks. Looks chunky! Not sure how it would wear on my 7.25" wrists. Looks like it means BUSINESS! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

  10. Gen is blue from what I understand as well.
  11. Stellar!!!! I love the dial there and no I had no idea that the O on radiomir was more oval shaped. Gonna spend so,e time reviewing my collection of reference images now thanks for the knowledge! My 2 3646 builds are going under some "renovations" as well and I love the idea of that great crown. Can't wait to see more!
  12. Excellent looking projectologist! Any tips on the crown And tube fitment and where to get them? Thoughts on movement selection or dial yet?
  13. I'm excited to get a 243 v2 soon. It will be one of my first non build "super reps". Should be interesting at the least.
  14. Impressive, a rarely done piece. Wear it in good health!
  15. Wow... Now that's a high end build... Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk 2

  17. Why even post the thread if things are going smoothly. You'll get this reply over and over again for being too antsy. PayPal disputes ruin everyone's access to PayPal so don't even consider a dispute unless admin have assisted and cannot come to a resolution. Don't be so touchy and stop being a whiner... 18. Could you help me out a bit and calrify? I've got several large photos up there with the lug numbers showing on both sides as well as the front and back of dials. Specifically the second set of photos I have above should have shown those things very clearly. I realize the first set was tough to see... Is there some way in which the photos could be improved? An example perhaps of a photo that might give more insight?
  19. Today I went to see my watchmaker. We've become good friends over the past few months. He has a gorgeous 6538 case that is known to be gen and I've been trying to buy it off him since the first day we met. He enjoys my nice little builds and today gave me a gift. The dial here is now known to me to very likely be a replica dial because of it's T<25 marking and it being a Tudor Rose Oyster Submariner dial means it should be simply marked "SWISS" or "T SWISS T" Now the confusing part is the case and caseback. I've spent hours now looking at both fakes and gens for the 7928 case sets focusing mostly on commonly faked serial numbers and common flaws i nthe case sets. It has passed the most obvious tests so far. The caseback is one that I also think is either a service center replacement likely. It's because it has no dating on it with a roman numeral and a 2 digit year number like it should. Anyways here's the photos I've gotten so far. The only reason I'm trying to identify the last 2 components is beacuse if they are indeed gen then I will attempt to purchase more high end parts in my build. Otherwise I will go lower end like Yuki parts that are less expensive or WSO instead of say Clarks or NDTrading.
  20. Interesting.. I bought a few parts from this company before on the bay.... Good service there... Too bad about this fiasco.
  21. http://www.didymostraps.com/ I initially began to communicate with him on here though. His username is ricardmg.
