  1. As stated. I've been trying some of the dealers like yuki but I can't seem to find anyone that has them. The ones I see are all correct for DRSD only (as is the one I currently have) I think MBW was the only case set that has it
  2. I've got myself a Southy 202a dial and am just needing to case it up. Really is quite great.
  3. Key wound. Good for parts though. If you don't need it please PM me the seller because I could use the spare parts. Thanks.
  4. It's poor form to start this discussion in another individual's thread about their watch. If you're unfamiliar with the internet and forums my recommendation for you is to create your own thread to discuss your completely separate topic. Cheers and welcome. In addition this is a tired and beat up discussion that you can easily find opinions on WUS and other places. Just leave it as "different strokes for different folks." BTW, absolutely NOTHING about this build is "buying a rep." What you see here in the desire to create something identical to the original in almost every way possible.
  5. So master The Zigmeister did the Chilean Antiques conversion backplate? Very nice job there. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Splendid, where do I sign up? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Just curious as I've never done this myself before but what kind of drill and stand do you use to drill these cases? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  8. Thanks for bringing this thread up. This is why once I became more attracted to Rolex from my world of vintage Pams I began to spend a lot more time with all the experts here on RWG. Really incredible database of knowledge here. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  9. I've been reading a lot of threads over on RWI , RG, and RWG about the DW 6263. I recently obtained one and was considering doing some work on it. 1) Crystal? LHOOQ had a great write up on RWI. It seems that getting a Gen T21 isn't super straight forward and requires some bezel work. Same goes for the Clark. Is the GS or Sternkreuz a better plug and play fit? http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=97723&highlight=clark+T21 2) Conversion to manual winding: it seems my rotor has been removed but I haven't cracked the caseback yet as I'm at work the next day or so. It winds great but I'm unsure as to when I should expect it to stop like my other manuals. It seems that perhaps I need to modify the movement a bit to get it to "stop" winding when the mainspring is fully wind. That said I have been unable to find a proper DIY on making that happen. Any thoughts? 3) Crowns and pushers are okay for me for now but Definitely considering the 700/702/703 options with tubes. Does case need to be retapped for the crown to be reaplced? I know that the pushers thread isn't perfectly correct for the DW so it will require some mods to get her to run right. Anyways, I'm new to Daytonas and am here to learn. I like to get my hands dirty so I'm open to your suggestions. Thanks.
  10. Unfortunately other projects call my name and I'm going to have to bow out of this one. I now leave my spaces 30 and 31 for another to fill the place of and move everyone up Thanks Steph Dexter for doing this project and GL with everything!
  11. Is the dial supposed to have a semigloss finish? The ones shown appear quite matte. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  12. I may take everything apart this weekend to do just that.
  13. This was what I thought would be a 1 hour job... AFter some difficulties with getting the DW to clear the dial I finally got it donw (although I'll probably have to go back and redo it sometime in the future b/c the changeover isn't super crisp right now) Anyways it looks splendid compared to that granulated looking silver one that it came with. For all you guys here remember to remove the other DWO first (doh!) Mine's all back together and although not perfect because of my installation the brushed finish is quite beautiful. I bought a second one to put in the watchbox in case some day I have the urge for another build. Thanks for putting this together Pete. Sorry my photos are *the fail* at capturing that brushed look.
  14. Good news! I got the watch back together and use some dots to space up the spacer just a tad more. Bad news is that I still have4 a slight delay and a slight dragging of the DWO. I'll take it apart again maybe in a few weeks but for now it just is sluggish on the changeover. I'm okay with that for now. Since I'm having it relumed anyways (dunno by whom yet so any suggestions appreciated) I'll probably just leave it as is for right now. Thanks Akira for the recs.
  15. For hygiene purposes the guys provide their own straps and I use my own. Gives me a good reason to have a few lying around in different styles and sizes. Since I'm a Pam guy we get obsessed over our straps
  16. I swap with established members on HF. Keeps our costs down and we don't have to build new watches. Our VIP status is invite only so it's pretty well vetted and I just reade with other VIP folks. Obviously in country only to avoid customs issues and always ship priority and always insured. 17. I recently installed a Polex Pete DWO Silver DWO to my otherwise functioning perfectly 2846 ETA movement. I completely removed the old DWO and placed the new DWO onto the date wheel itself. I'm having 2 problems currently and could really use your help. 1) DWO rubs on the dial. I've tried removing the dial spacer and reinstalling it and still no luck. It works fine without the dial on but bogs when dial is installed. 2) Seems the dial was never installed with any feet. It was held in place with dial dots and that's okay but now I need to somehow find a solution to get the dial affixed again. I'm in CONUS and could use some advice or someone to send this bad boy to to git'er done. 5 hours has gone by and I'm at my wits I think. Thanks.
  18. For cost savings Athaya makes great solid case backs as well. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  19. I got mine and hopefully will be able to work on it this week.
  20. Looks like someone has been a busy fella! Another awesome one!
  21. Another great one. This is based on a river case? Or Adrian's? Or Silix? Or DSN? Haha, we have too many to choose from nowadays.
  22. Wow great job! I plan on doing something similar with my Athaya Bronze build. Need more photos of the strap!
  23. I'm too strict. My goals are often 10% and no more. Therefore I tend to only build the uber rare or I build the very basic low end
