someone opened a Pay Pal case on a watch

Hmmmm that's lame . This is precisely what I worry about. All unknown buyers I sell to them only as gift. Sadly some countries don't do gift. And so I just won't sell to them. Sent from the my iPhone using Tapatalk s -
Even had a nice rivet bracelet to go with it! Bummer she's gone Sent from the my iPhone using Tapatalk s

There's one in the sale section now. Sent from the my iPhone using Tapatalk s

I always have maybe 1 or 2 OOTB reps in the watchbox. Otherwise like others here I enjoy my builds. Since mine are mostly vintage Panerai builds the ability to purchase gen isn't reasonable for me. I have about half my watchbox with gens and I enjoy them as well. It's good to keep a mix. Sent from the my iPhone using Tapatalk s

Bwhitesox, sorry also about your negative experience. It seems Rolf is unable to properly interact with others to sell his product. Sad for sure for such nice products. After all his actions I'm surprised RWG is still a place where his antics are welcome. He's been banned everywhere else already. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I think a new slew of in house movements at a reasonable price range will pump up the brand. 8 days for under $7k for in house movements. That's pretty good. The things like that 382 and some of the interesting materials are still interesting to buyers. The days of outrageous flipping may be gone but I think the brand will thrive. Love the bezel on these. Was always afraid it would wear small though. Wristy? Congrats on the new acquisition! Sent from the my iPhone using Tapatalk s

Nice!!! Well the reason I make the comparison is that kit cars are more of an apples to apples comparison. If we were to find an old beat up Rolex and fixed it up with maybe a new set of hands that were missing or cleaned up a dirt dial then that would be a better comparison to modding vintage cars. Still I enjoy the different viewpoints and discussion on this thread. Sent from the my iPhone using Tapatalk s

Well said OP. I'll never truly understand the building of a $7000 vintage rolex while spending $4500! Even at $1000 for most of these nice builds for things like a snowflake don't make sense. Snowflakes are $4-6k. The reps or parted together builds aren't even close at $1000 budget. I have set a 10% rule and $20k. If build is 10% of gen value of if gen is less than $20k don't build it. Just save for the gen. Lots of the guys building these super expensive builds can barely change a set of hands. So if they had to send their watch to be pieced together and hobbled up by a random "modder" why not just buy it all as a gen for the real deal? I mean you're copying it anyways and if your "hobby" is just finding spare parts for someone else to install... Well then you're not even actually building it yourself! Seems a bit silly. If you're at least doing your own lume or the assembly or the reshape or SOMETHING. At least that you can take some pride in it. But anybody can go buy a fistful of nice parts and put it in a box together to mail to some random watchmaker. Just have the Rolex watchmaker who built the gen in 1960s or 1970s be your watchmaker and buy the gen already. Sent from the my iPhone using Tapatalk s

Sounds like what you're saying is again false and misleading. Sounds like they're actually not made in Switzerland? FGD already mentioned that it is not made in Switzerland but rather in various places including "surrounding countries" Get an attitude adjustment if you plan on interacting with other members. Maybe FGD can give you some PR lessons since you're just so abrasive time and again You've already been reprimanded for your false use of negative feedback here on RWG (a quick search shows the thread) and banned on 3 of the other rep forums. You should consider perhaps if it will be in your favor to act a bit more adult like to sell such expensive hobbyist parts. It would be in your favor and to the benefit of an otherwise fun hobby. Nope. Rolli has specified a "swiss technique" but never specified location of creation. Therefore my question was simply if they are made in Switzerland or elsewhere such as China. The technique undoubtedly creates a very nice result but the question still stands. Sent from the my iPhone using Tapatalk s

So these are made in Switzerland or made in China? Again, if price is $450 for a 000 dial it will be challenging to make sense of it instead of hunting for a gen dial for a bit more. Sent from the my iPhone using Tapatalk s

How much will pricing be? I think it will be a tough sell for this 000 dial at your typical $450 usd for dial and hands especially when gen dials and hands are out there to be found and the gen watch as a whole watch can be found below $5k. Agree with the prior poster that you would be better off making rarer dials like what you had been doing that are not as easily attained. Even the cheapy replica ones aren't that bad now. Neat job there JMB! Pribably could be a touch smoother but maybe that's how 16613 looks. Font is good! Sent from the my iPhone using Tapatalk s

Beautiful builds. Interesting to me how shiny the indices are on the first set of photos. I've seen lots of gen photos over the years and never noticed them catch light so much at the borders of the numerical indices. Perhaps it's the top layer that is used on these dials that gives them such a bright finish? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I would recommend cwazy1. I've used vac before and prefer cwazys work and professionalism. Sent from the my iPhone using Tapatalk s
