This model does not exist in rep world, atleast not a decent one. The shops you show us, use pics from the genuine item. Stay away from these shops! In short, DO NOT ORDER!

Just because its on some website it doesn't mean its the truth, take wikipedia for instance. It is not even remotely close to any form of a unitas movement.

AFAIK only the subdials on the gen are sunburst. Looks to be the same on the rep.

Well my story is, when i was a kid i was standing for the local jewlery store for hours and hours facinated by the the bling and all the different models. My watch collecting habit basically is a way to get back to that feeling i had back then. I have many watches, never sold anything. Gave some away though. Eventhough i can't wear the all, i love to just stare at my collection. Its an illusion for shure, i know. A new watch is going to make me happy for few days. That is why my buying rate is dropped almost to a freezing point.

Its dual winding for shure, but no unitas version of any kind. Interresting movement though.

I agree with X, leave the original dial alone, either accept that it doesn't glow, or replace it with one that does.

I think the movement might be a bridge too far. What i would like though is larger main plate so that no spacer is required and even more important can host the dial feet-holes to accept a geniune dial withouth killing the dial.

AFIK besides the dial, its just the crown position. Which in my opinion is one of the biggest flaws of all reps to date, and is prety noticeable. Besides that, the higher crown position adds to comfort on wearing it, especially if you wear your watch loose on the wrist. It could very well be it has a 'better' pearl or insert but most probably go for a gen insert anyways.

Rules for 162xx (saphire crystal) are different from the 160xx series. I have no experience with the saphires as i am a sucker for the raised plastics, though i know for a fact that the 162xx series need a 2824/2892 with regard to the stem hight. Just try and see if it works, it will only cost you our time if you already have the parts at your disposal. Regarding the spacer, i did use it on 2 162zz projects, in the others i used plastic spacers harvested from reps. The spacer is only used to align the stem and/or to accomodate the smaller movement size (ie the rolex cal. is larger in diameter). This has nothing to do with the hight of the pinion, you will have to use the spacer.

Diamond dial is the thickest dial to clear for the hands. I never had to use another cannon pinion for my frankens, all where 160xx's (acryllic crystal), all stickmarker dials and all fitted with standard eta 2836.

It is a rep for shure. The crown position is inline with the pushers, so definitely not sporting the modular 2892 chrono movement.

Another thing to note about the new GMT is the non-AR'ed cyclops. Both on the TT aswel as the SS version.

There is an easy sign on the bottom of the page which shows the time it took for the server to put out the page for your brownser to download. I get times varying around 0,3 seconds which is not lighting but faster then average. Unless this time is >1 the server/website is not the issue.

Forget all websites you listed, research the board. All terms swiss, asian, italian is all marketing. Accept everytheing being aisan even the swiss marketed ones, even if they are not, it wil make your live easyer and cheaper. Important for you is, if you want certrain watch to last lifetime, is to get a piece which can be serviced and or repaired. For me its important dial or hands are interchangeble with genuine eta movements and specs, so once problem arrises i can get it fixed.
