Yes it is exaggerated. It could very well be 1 out of 10 RWG members would not even know let aside notice it on the wrist. However, dealers list it as 1:1 while it's clearly not the case. I think people should be aware of this non moddable issue. And that if one wants to mod it to be as gen as possible is a bit pointless if its based on a fundamentally wrong case.

It also has wrong crown position. Some good points to this sub. Add tons of gen stuff, mod the heck out of it, but still... low crown is one hell of a screaming giveaway.

Regarding scamsites, there are quite a large number of scam sites which are very, very well done. Theres also trustworthy dealers which user a very poor site or no site at all. It does'nt mean a thing.

On the rep they also are recessed, although less then on the gen perhaps. Judging from the gen above pic and a V1 dial rep dial at hand, the rep dial is indeed not as recessed as the gen. Can't say wat V dial the current v3BC's are though.

I can't tell, i bought an ETA 2842 movement, and sold the AS.

I've been down that road, in my case the rep eta (2836) hands where straight fit, except for the seconds hand which was too large to fit the AS movement. The stem height is marginally the same, no problems in that department. Can't help you on the stem thread though.
