  6. I'm interrested in using Domi's services. I've got quite some pieces that are in need of work one way or the other. However wondered about shipping. Most pieces i have are quite rare and practically very hard -if at all possible- to replace. Since I never sold anything i am cleuless about how to ship and the reliability of shipping.
  7. It could be your recieving NOS. Personally i like to older type coronet. Much more soul. The crimped crown while it does look good coronet wise, does smells fishy. Funny though, checked all my rep rolly crowns, and none is crimped, besides 1 rep gold tone datejust crown.
  8. Holy crap!
  9. The crown looks gen to me, it has the modern coronet correct for saphire subs. The other crowns are vintage and correct for the 1680.
  10. Yup, thats one helluva erect crown.
  11. Looks really awesome! the thick plexy really tops it off. Why not change the end links with the right explorer pictured above.

  15. I remember the thread. The rep was waterthight however shown spots of corrosion. And you make a good point. With all the talk about gold quality 10k,14k, wrapped, solid, plated etc... we never seem to stand still and ask ourselves what type of steel we're acutally getting.
  16. You can correct the difference in height by a spacer, however the hand posts will be sunken too much to clear the hands from the dial. Like said, you will run into problems. Exchange a 2836 with a 2836, not a 2824.
  17. Havent seen a true asian 7753, there is a a7750 with the same dial layout however. But these are not direct interchangeble because the date is in different place, and if i recall correctly the a7750 tri-compax is slightly thicker.
  18. There is more to it, 2824 is thinner vs 2836. This results in all kinda complications.
  19. Besides the hands, does the 2893 fit the case? 2893 is a thinner movement vs 2836 with a diferent stem hight. You will have to use another spacer for the stem to correctly line up and probably higher pinions to leave enough clearance for the hands.
  20. The jerky seconds hand on the Sin is probably due to the movement has an indirect drive seconds. This behavior is normal for that particular design.

  22. George said it is going to be fixed.
  23. Haha... you are right, english is not my native tongue, it gets worse after a couple of beers
  24. You are right Alli. The latest datejust line also have white datewheel, even the gold ones. guess it has something to do with streamlining the production line in order to maximize profit. example:
  25. The closed 6 and 9 will be correct for the noob. The yellowed version is for TT or gold models.
