Honestly its hard to go wrong with the JF V7. I would pay attention to the bezel screws, the dial, inner bezel numbers, and alignment of date. But heck, I take apart most watches I buy to make them better anyway, so my expectation for QC is mostly that there is a watch, its the right one, and it does not look chewed up too badly by the pet mongrel. Whats that? I am off topic? Oh ok, your specimen looks fantastic, if not perfect. You can go ahead and accept this and then wait patiently for it to arrive.

Thank you kindly. The date font is the number one flaw on this series of RM reps honestly, in my opinion. The skeletonized dial is actually complicated enough to pass off as the real deal without close scrutiny of the decoration details. I have noticed the more recent RM reps produced have the correct date font. I would recommend you go for those. The rep font on the series in your link is just plain wrong... There is a quartz version of this rep available now, a travesty to behold, a dial built for natural eye aversion. But its a commendable effort forward by the rep makers.. now all we have to do is wait for the tourbillon version... and wait again for an updated model, and perhaps we would start to be happy by the time v6 is released..

If you are talking about a low beat movement conversion, it is between $250-450 depending on who you ask. I got mine done for about $250 all in and it runs like a champ.

Hello and welcome to the rep world. First, the concept of warranty in this hobby, is highly contentious, and from experience, highly subjective. Dealers may or may not choose to replace a watch that arrives DOA for you, and it would seem to me that each case is negotiated between buyer and dealer separately. Any such warranty, sad to say, is also subject to the level of pre-existing relationship between dealer and buyer. Next, on to the question of verifying movement. Like my friend Mike said, it is not a common practice for QC pics to include a shot of the movement, and any such pictures are purely at dealer discretion. Having said that, remember and understand that there are several things that cannot be proved or disproved in QC pics, like loose screws in movements for non-see through casebacks, dislodged stems, stuck pushers, stuck datewheel mechanism.. the list is non exhaustive. The movement type is usually chosen by the buyer, and supplied accordingly by the seller based on generic trust. This arrangement may not sound ideal for some buyers with more circumspect in built in them, but believe me, many members here have the ability to open up their watches to check the movements, or to resolve simple technical issues. If the wrong movement is a prevalent issue among a certain dealer, it would have been highlighted. In this hobby, you must allow for genuine and honest mistakes, and learn the virtues of patience and placid communication, especially when something goes wrong. Regardless of right and wrong, aggressive or angry communication with a dealer would get you nowhere. Pardon my verbose digression... in your case, I would advise you to trust the dealer and take the watch at face value. It is ironical if a trusted dealer cannot be trusted. If you can trust, for example, that the crown is not simply affixed to the case via superglue and is in fact attached to a proper stem and keyless system by looking at the pics supplied, then just go a step further and trust the dealer on the stated movement.

Forgive me if I do sound a little mysterious or cryptic for what I am about to say, it is not my intention. But the model I am working on currently is a rather accurate model on its own, but needing some mods on the dial to make it very accurate on the wrist, I would say 95% at least. I would definitely be showing pictures and information when the mods are done and ready for public consumption and critique. Kindly be patient with me, I would appreciate that.

And which one might that be? If you can post the link, I can give my 2 cents on it.. I am not an RM expert but I have been looking at them a lot more lately..

There are a few models that are pretty good, and have potential to be modded for great accuracy. As a matter of fact, I am working on an RM project right now.. I think the result will be very pleasing. Will unveil when watch is ready.

Have you reported it? A super rep is a double edged sword.. it could please the wearer very well, and also be used to scam innocent buyers. And the 111 is a known super rep in the hobby.

This watch was purchased last month, and sent to spinmaster, who basically converted the movement to the correct low beat 21600kph one using a Swiss donor movement. The dial is aligned with the inner bezel in the process. The AR of the crystal and cyclop are actually pretty good, and needs no modification IMHO. All in all, a very nice and accurate rep compared with the gen, and I would recommend anyone on the fence to take the plunge. It is a very nice looking diver watch. I doubt that the rep could withstand the pressure at 300m under the sea but let's face it, diver watches are almost becoming a misnomer these days, servicing as fashion pieces rather than actual dive watches. The dial of this watch is very crisp under the superb AR of the crystal. If you've read my post this far, you're likely to have been deciding whether to get it. Well, get it, before it runs out of stock like the legendary v4 noob forged carbon diver. Don't be like my friend @folex lamenting the lack of stock of the v4 noob FC when he had many opportunities to buy the watch but did not. Sent from Mars using tapatalk

That, is the personification of gorgeous my friend. I predict that it would suffer from the "reverse call out syndrome or RCOS", which happens when a modded rep is called out as a gen. Congrats and wear her.., well, wear her like a gen!
