  1. Great work again. It's really rewarding to get results like this... and like I said it's not difficult at all.
  2. You know what's funny... the poster called it "MBW" but that's NOOBMARINER two-tone. Yes, really. Same case, same dial printing, same everything... except the crown (which is more accurate size) and gold parts of course. And yes it's the best TT Sub I've seen. All dealers could probably get this rep... and I suspect many of them offer it too.
  3. Genuine Sea Dweller no doubt. Congrats Watcher, that's beautiful! Two-Tone's watch ain't bad, either.
  4. I didn't know Joshua was selling the vintage model. Pearl is shite though... and that oversized & wrong red SUBMARINER font jumps to the eyes, once again. Other than that it looks nice and reasonable. And it's worth getting only because of the cool caseback... All rep hardcores are Shitinerand fans.
  5. Excellent pics, good story. Thailand is one of the places I'd like to visit, eventually.
  6. Nice. I think it's a rep though. Link quartz chronograph has the 9-3-6 subdial arrangement. I have never seen a quartz Link chrono with 12-9-6 (running seconds at 6) model. But those subdial hands don't really look "gen quality" to me in the zoomed pics... I could be wrong though. My guess is that this is a quartz rep of the automatic chronograph (with inaccurate subdials). Either way, it's a very nice looker. Link quartz chronograph:
  7. So...did anyone order this watch yet? I'd be appreciated if someone wrote a small overview of this watch for the Omega guide. I added the new SMP chrono there already and with Railmaster review / overview it would be completely "up-to-date". If you ordered the watch I'd be happy if you spent a while reviewing it... and I'd be glad to link it to the guide. Thanks.
  8. If it's true what some members say... that you can get the genuine reduced Speedmasters for around $500... does it make any sense to buy a $312 bracelet? Maybe I'm wrong... but considering all this buying the rep for $250 doesn't make much sense, either. For around $100 - $140 it'd still be reasonable (just imho). Personally, I'd go for the fullsize rep (if you have to pay the full price).

    Omega Po

Yep, that's the version. And you're welcome Andreas.
  10. It takes a year to build a Noobmariner.
  11. My weekend starts with the always cool... and +/- 2 accurate Bond Seamaster.
  12. Richard had one for sale in the old RWG. Perhaps the watch is long gone... but you never know. He has hundreds of watches so you might just send him a pm. I recall it looked good.

    Omega Po

Hi Andreas. Both are measured without crown. The 4th Gen 42,5mm version is superior. I don't think they'll ever surpass that. If you get that one and add genuine bracelet and AR coated crystal it's virtually indistinguishable. Difficult to say. Maybe, because the new "Bond" watch is the black PO 45mm with rubber strap. It could increase the demand. I think they got it pretty close with the 4th Gen. Some say the genuine "blueish" and very strong AR coating is what makes the difference. I recall Watcher swapped the crystal on his PO. Better? Maybe, but not significantly better because the subdial spacing will always be off. Same thing with the Speedmasters, there's no rep movement which could mimic the closer spacing.
  14. Richard Lawton had a reasonable one, I recall. I think he also bought a genuine. Perhaps ask him? PS: Congrats Dani, great watch!
  15. Sorry, but I don't think it's very nice to go and brag about our reps to ADs and watchsmiths. It's almost like posting pics of reps to genuine watch forums. What there is to accomplish? I've always said it's much better for this community to stay as much "underground" as possible. The more attention the high-end reps get (among the official salespeople), the more it will jeopardize our hobby... at least in the long run. Maybe it's just me... but I don't understand why people do this.
  16. Very nice collection... you have all the "basics" covered. That TAG Link GMT isn't something you see every day. I really like the watch.
  17. That's really nice collection & pictures Insane. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Ahh... this is a classic. I once asked Nanuq to perform this same test with his genuine Bond Sub but he chickened out. Now THAT would have been interesting... is Rolex really as tough as they say...?
  19. By the way, I'm delighted to hear Pug is doing the IWC Guide. That's something I really look forward to. I wish people would arrange a "team effort" like the Omega/Breitling Guide and do one of Panerai as well. I've read the history of Panerai but I don't know much about the watches and reps. That kind of guide would be interesting to read, even for us non-PAM fans.
  20. First: I want to thank you all. Very appreciated of the comments. I seldom review bad watches because the watches I review are the ones that I decide to buy for myself... based on my own observations. However, I want to point out the shortcomings and flaws as accurately as possible. I have reviewed extremely accurate reps (like TAG Link)... and very inaccurate ones (like the "Reduced" Speedmaster). Perhaps my problem is that I like all kinds of watches... and find good from almost every single one of them. The only disappointing replica I ever had was a two-tone Rolex Submariner (my first rep). Actually my 2 first reps were TT Subs. I thought they were good and reasonable reps... but then I received the legendary Omega Seamaster "Bond". SMP set the standard to all reps, and started the "new era" of replica watches... and since then I have only bought all-stainless steel watches. The new Navitimer TT is very tempting, though. Don't worry. I wouldn't do that under any circumstances. I wouldn't give bad watch a good review... or to boost anyone's sales, either. I only buy and wear watches that I like myself and consider good replicas. However, although the "reduced" Speedmaster replica was very inaccurate, I still liked the watch a lot. It was a quality piece and great looker. I "flipped" it because it was a bit small for me, not because of the inaccuracies. I have no idea how many watches I'm still going to buy. It's always the "2 more and my collection is complete" thing... But then something new comes up...something that you must have... like the new Seamaster Chronograph. I'm seriously considering the genuine TAG Aquaracer 2000 chronograph and Breitling Chronomat too. But I'm sure the reps come out as soon as I've bought them.
  21. Back to work again... but here's a fresh and hot wristshot of the watch I'll be wearing today: The good old Speedmaster.
  22. I guess you're right. The lower beat coaxial isn't my cup of tea, either. But that red Seamaster text is nice to my eye.
  23. Not many changes but this is the new Co-Axial model, with red lettering. I don't like it on a leather strap. Ebay auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/OMEGA-SEAMASTER-AUTOAM...1QQcmdZViewItem
