  1. You seem to be very, very unlucky with your MBW trades. The default MBW pearl is shite, so I wouldn't personally care about the missing pearl... I'd rather have no pearl at all than the default one... and I guess it's possible to sand and polish the lugholes into more reasonable condition. But sending a dead watch to someone is just unforgiveable. You got lied and ripped off. But then again it could be even worse: At least you received the watch. If this guy isn't replying the emails and PM's it's a sure sign of guilt... and pretty much proves he was aware of the movement problem in this watch. Name the guy.
  2. GREAT job! You read the review I wrote of this watch, didn't you? http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=12382
  3. Now that's an unique Connie! Enjoy!!!
  4. I wonder if the 5 blue/red "dots" or "holes" (or whatever they're called) are somehow functional on the genuine? Omega has also model called "Seamaster Apnea" which looks like this: I must say that I have no idea about these. The reason I'm wondering is because member called "Yellowhat" posted this picture on another forum... and those things look like they could have some sort of functionality... and perhaps the "holes" change color and position on the genuine? Just compare the two different pics of the genuine, other one has three and a half blue "dots" visible, other has just two. That could explain the color difference on the rep. Either way, the watch is quite a looker. Unique, definitely. Never seen it before.
  5. Yes, it's quite odd because no "pure" fakes surfaced. Just franken-Omegas. They're not fakes in the purest sense. I don't know exactly what models they're using as base when they forge them. @Ubi: Yes indeed. That's a keeper for sure.
  6. Yeah, I've heard the collectors are paying crazy prices for those now. And like you say, the problem is that most of the "genuine" SM300's are more or less frankenwatches. These frankens appeared immediately when the SM300 prices skyrocketed. It's sometimes weird why some specific watch models become so desirable. I believe that model will climb in price even more. Just like the vintage GMT Master you purchased (that's definitely a keeper). I still don't know the reason why the Rolex nuts don't consider them so "collectable".

Congrats for your new beauty Watcher. You're one of the true WIS on the community.
  8. It's not my style, but that FM looks fantastic.
  9. Yeah, but haven't you heard the phrase "honor among thieves"?
  10. The non-chrono Link is excellent replica... and very underrated and underappreciated. I already stated this when the first ones came out ca. 10 months ago. This rep has been virtually unnoticed... especially after the Link Chrono came out and stole all the attention. The rep GMT model of Link is a great looker as well.
  11. Thanks guys. This guide is my "favourite child". Should be quite up-to-date now. Added some good reference pics by Pugwash, Oldecrow and Neil. Someone should review the new Railmaster though.
  12. TAG Link for me today. Sorry, I'm at the office and don't have a camera with me... so the old wristshot will have to do.
  13. How does it "look like a rep"? It looks like a high-end "perpetual calendar" model to me. The quality and arrangement of the subdials doesn't look anything like cheap day-date reps to me. This proves once again that there are so many different variations of the Navitimer that calling out rep is very difficult. I remember members ridiculing the Venus-powered rep Navitimer with glass back. But there are lots of hand-wind Lemania Navis with aftermarket glass backs. When I did my Navitimer review I realized how many variations there are.
  14. Agreed guys. The new BTR line is awesome. Best looking watches I've seen in a long time. Here's some more photos: The bracelet version:
  15. So... besides the badly arranged sales pics (and sales page) what's the big fuss? That's the Breitling Montbrilliant 1461, gorgeous model: The watch in the auction looks genuine to me. Or is there something I don't catch here?
  16. While I love the TT Sub I think full gold sports Rolexes are tasteless. SeaDweller is probably the purest "tool watch" in their lineup, and I wonder who would like a deepsea diver watch it in full gold. Somehow it's just "out of place". Just my opinion, of course. No, it's a Photoshop.
  17. Thanks Thomas. Works now.
  18. True, the grey is more original... and blue looks more conservative sports watch. Taste thing of course... it's like the orange/black PO... or Pepsi/red-black GMT. Best option would be to own them both.
  19. Looks surprisingly nice. Actually it looks a bit like Tudor Hydronaut with this setup. I have one of those grey bezel inserts (with red pearl) too.
  20. Yes indeed. I know from personal experience that this watch is a bitch to photograph. The second pic is the best of them (imho). Great work!
  21. I agree...the Bond coaxial looks fantastic. Not worth upgrading from the old model though. But I don't think I like the "LV" Planet Ocean.
  22. Done. Can you read the forum?
  23. ROTFLMAO!!! That's Paul alright!!!
  24. You can except anything from Paul I guess. I still don't think he's rotten... just a sloppy dealer. He was probably too busy polishing his Porche (sic) so he had to borrow Andrew's pics.
