  1. Yeah that was sick. I recall those N/B-series supercars used to have over 1000 HP. They banned them quickly after the death of Henri Toivonen. Toivonen crashed his car in Corsica and it was total destruction. I mean the car was all over the forest in millions of little pieces. Today's rally cars are nothing compared to those 80's monsters.
  2. I believe this is from the "Supercars era" in rally. Those cars & guys were just insane... you gotta be insane to drive like this on the mountain roads. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBPgCJBUjtg
  3. I have fixed all the links, except for the article about El Primero movement. Zigmeister has apparently removed the article from the database. But the links to Zigmeister's Seconds at '6, Freddy's, Stephane's, Francisco's and Ubi's reviews have all been fixed. Sorry for taking so long.
  4. "Grabbed your arm and shouted that your watch is a fake"? Amazing... how can anyone be such a peon? I really dislike violence but there are certain type of people who actually deserve to be beat up. I'm sure someone takes care of that guy and his loud mouth eventually... in the taxi queue for example.
  5. Very nice. I also love hockey and Breitlings. TT is very nice. Also... it'd be amazing to have a brushed Serie Speciale Navitimer rep.
  6. Good observations. But you have to remember that this review was written 4 years ago. Link Chrono was among the very first "super reps". This watch was very popular and the standards were completely different back then. People have been spoiled with so many excellent reps after that, and the obsession about miniscule flaws (that you just decribed) has gone completely out of whack. The great build quality of this rep makes you forget such things in a second. Aquaracer is very nice rep and you're right... it wears HUGE. I prefer the smaller version which I compared to the rep here: PS: Thanks for the compliments. Glad you liked the article.
  7. It has "spiky" Submariner/Sea Dweller crown guards. That was the first thing I noticed. Unfortunately it's not a good rep at all. The wait continues...
  8. This handsome today. Have a good weekend!
  9. Now that's a handsome looking Omega! Great to see these vintages Omegas becoming collectible. They certainly deserve it.
  10. That is a terrible rep. Buy crap = buy two times. Just my 2c. The good one from PT costs pretty much the same:
  11. There is no favorism. It's a fact. The old dial is pretty much flawless. No logo issue, no OMEGA text issue, etc. I have only 4 reps left. That's exactly the reason why I have gotten rid of at least 80 reps during the years and kept the old SMP Chrono... I have only kept best of the best.
  12. If you want your GMT to last, don't ever adjust the jumping hour hand. Never. Only set time from the hack position. There is a fork that wears out, and when it does your whole movement is trashable. There are no spare parts and there never will be. Been there, done that. It might last if you leave that setting alone for good.
  13. It has happened a few times in the past but generally it's very rare. Actually I don't even remember when it happened the last time. 99% of the frankenbuilders are just honest watch enthusiasts. And many of those best frankens cost a lot to build... it takes a lot of time, knowledge and effort. I think there are many easier ways to scam people (if someone really wants to do that).
  14. Your frankens are amazing my friend. First the IWC, then the WM9 and now this.
  15. Givin' this B01 some wrist time today.

    Hair loss

My brother lost a lot of hair in his mid-20's. And I've had full hair until now (at 38), but now I see some thinning at the top... you know the area on the back/top where hair is growing to many directions. It's worse because I have dark hair and the potential bald area is going to be more visible because of that. Now it's barely visible but if it goes bad, I'll just shave it all off. I trim my hair with that Philishave anyway... I don't really care. But I'm sure it would have bothered me if it happened when I was 20. Things have changed too... in the 80's shaved heads reminded people of skinheads. Now it's just fashionable and not "politically incorrect" anymore. Bald head looks good on some, and not so good on some others. It's probably the shape of your skull which determines it. About those operations... when I was younger, I used to date a nice, nice looking girl who had silicone tits. I'm not a big breasts man but those looked cool, they weren't too big... and if those transplants made her happy, what's wrong with 'em? I don't understand people who see a moral problem with it. Same with hair transplants... if your hair loss is becoming a phsychological problem to you, why not? It's your hair and your decision. Personally, I would just save the money and buy more watches.
  17. The old version is more accurate and nicer, no matter what improvements they have made. There must be a lot of them around. Just watch the member sales, they pop up every now and then.
  18. Does the new model have different Omega logo? The old gen had "happy feet".
  19. How can you see the Omega logo on the dial? The hour hand was over it in all those pictures.
  20. Correction... that was "CARZY SALE", not "CRAZY SALE". His "Porche" was a classic too.
  21. The "Retro" version is the second best, imho. Others have the cyclops/date positioned too right on the crystal/dial. http://www.1-pc8838.com/rlgs10007-retro-edition-master-blackred-bezel-28362-p-3425.html It's pretty well built rep. Of course it has flaws but at the moment there isn't any better. Too bad the Noob version is gone. Good luck!
  22. I would have gone there as well but my son was just born.
  23. Hi Carlos, yes v2 is the best choice. Read this. Good luck.
