  1. Yeah that was it man. The usual story. Kids, work and family. I was in great shape ten years ago. I weighed 270 pounds at 6'3. Now I weigh a lot less but the weight has been "transformed differently". Even 45mm Omega PO was wearable back in those days. I'm in my mid-fourties now and I can't lift my old warmup weights. Hard to find motivation.
  2. Some of my old watch photography. I just purchased a new rep today... after all these years. I didn't even remember all of these shots I had taken. I have truckloads of these photos in my archives. Enjoy. Gen Rep Rep Rep. I had a wallpaper sized one too but lost it. Gen Gen Rep Gen Rep Gen Gen Rep
  3. Good point. General public don't even know what Tudor is. But I'd love to see that classic 1675 well done (as in your signature). They make the shitty versions so why not make it properly? It's such a simple watch.
  4. Nice. I always wondered why the rep makers don't make good out-of-the-box vintage reps. Like the 1675 and Tudor Subs. These would sell like hotcakes. Ah well they do, but they're all utter shite.
  5. Mercedes S 63 AMG Coupe. Or then THIS. Holy shit this Jag is beautiful. It sounds even better than it looks.
  6. I used to be in great shape but now it's more like this.
  7. My gen Breitling Steelfish broke recently. I had to fix it in the Breitling AD. Mut my reps have never failed me. My WM9 Sub v2 power reserve is probably just 20 hours or so but it's working perfectly. I have this gen no-date 14060 but I wear my WM9 more.
  8. Richard!!!!!!! Indeed great to see you my friend. One of my first reps ever was purchased from Richard. And thanks, all. I'm trying to find the "bug" again.
  9. Some old timers might remember me. I was a rep and gen watch enthusiast for years. I still am, but I haven't purchased anything new in years. The last replica watch I bought was Breitling B01, which I sold later. I have a few gens. Rolex GMT 16710, Breilting Steelfish Superocean, Omega Seamaster Bond, TAG Aquaracer Automatic Chrono, Rolex Submariner 14060 and some cheap shit like Invicta, etc. I still have my favorite reps too. Ebel Panda Discovery, Rolex WM9 v2 Sub (with gen insert) and this old thing. I got this watch from Eddie Lee (as a gift) back in 2005 (if I remember correctly). It was brand spanking new back then and for some weird reason it came with a genuine looking ETA datewheel. All other versions of this watch that I ever saw had the lousy A7550 default date font. I've never opened the watch. Maybe EL sent me a Swiss 7750 version. I have no idea. All I know the watch has been worn every week since 2005. Every damn week... sometimes twice or three days in a row. Guess what... it's still working like a charm. No service, nothing. When my son was born 7 years ago another RWG.cc member sent me genuine insert for it. That pretty much "perfected" it. Back in the day I saw them all. But this might be one of the most accurate and best reps ever. Of course the Bond SMP Chrono is not expensive as a gen in the second hand market anymore but despite loving this model I never even thought about buying the gen. Some gen hour markers get more yellowish after some years of use, I can't really tell them apart visually. The HE valve in chrono version SHOULD be on par with the '10 hour marker (unlike the standard SMP). The only difference is that the gen uses pins in the bracelet (and the rep has screws). I have a pin spare bracelet but never bothered to change. I have the standard Bond (gen) and the overall quality feel isn't much off, either. What I'm trying to say is that these can be pretty good watches.
  10. I still have my gen. I don't wear it that much though.
  11. That's a beauty.
  12. That's a piece of junk.
  13. You can immediately see it's a rep from the crown guards. Do they make them that ugly and wrong on purpose? Those are laugable. Real 1675 crown guards are "blocky". Ah well... it was the same blues 10 years ago and same blue now.
  14. Today this one. Amazingly accurate franken from 2005 I think. Asian 7750 still running like a champ.
  15. It's the dial. 16613 has one of the nicest blue dials ever. The new one is just generic blue. I've seen it in the flesh and it didn't give me any "Buy me"-feeling at all. The old 16613 is always just as amazing.
  16. Merry Christmas to all old friends. I'm back but my watches are still the same old. This is the ancient WM9 with a gift gen insert from my pal bklm. Like me, the 16610 never gets old. [/
  17. What a beauty! It's amazing how much nicer the old 16613 is than the new one, which is kinda "blah".
  18. My Aquaracer Chrono. One of the best watch photos I took (imho). Too bad I lost the larger wallpaper version.
  19. Luke confronting Vader in ROTJ is probably the best moment in movie history. The suspense and emotion are unbelievable. Prequels didn't have even one moment of magic like this..
  20. Yeah... me too. But it's not possible because of work in the next two weeks or so.
  21. The movie launched today in some countries. Does anyone know if it's already torrented? The original trilogy was a big part of my youth. The prequels... ummh... less said about them, the better. I'd love to see if the new movie is any good. Let me know if it's already available. Cheers.
  22. This is still ticking and kicking.
  23. Personally, I think Link is one of the best watch designs. Link Calibre 36 is a stunner. If I remember correctly. that comes with El Primero movement. So is Calibre 16. The worst part of Link Chronos was the lack of AR. Fixed now.
  24. Is this "ugly Christmas tree" competition? Well I found this. http://paradoxoff.com/files/2012/01/ridiculous-christmas-tree-03.jpg
