  1. The T60-crown is from Tourby. Don't know if he still sells them. You should ask the more active forum members.
  2. No one has ever wanted to touch my watch - let alone try a button. And if they ask I tell it's a non functional button that saves me about E 8.000,- I'm not trying to fool anybody. This is my grail watch and I bought it for myself.
  3. Just a quick iPhone update. Today I received my 214. From all of the reps I've owned over the years, this is the first out of the box rep which gives me a true gen impression. The lume is easy to charge and shines like a torch for the first few minutes. Then it decays rather fast, but lasts the whole night at a modest level. Not bad for rep AR, but Ziggmeister AR shines a bit brighter during the night. The build quality of the case and the sharpness of the dial are extremely good and gen-like. I can also really recommend the more expensive gator strap. It's definitely worth the extra money. The only thing I'm not sure of is the AR. I cannot compare it with a gen. But when I compare it to single AR from Jakub, it looks like the 214 has no AR at all. I see a lot of glare and under no light conditions even a slight colored hue shows up as an indicator of AR being applied. This might be the only modification this rep needs. Edit: I went to an AD today and could compare the rep AR with the gen displayed in the window. Looks gen enough for me, so no mods needed Personally, I don't mind that the Ratrappante is non functional. Few people know what it is and how it works. And cosmetically it looks like it's there.
  4. Thnx for posting! Curious to the Zigmeister's verdict...
  5. I'm thinking of putting this up for sale. Although I consider it to be my holy grail rep, it has been sitting in the box for months instead of being on my wrist.... What do you guys think?
  6. I'm afraid I'm not going to make it. My week off from work has been rescheduled. Busy times... Anyway, have fun in Amsterdam!
  7. The 27th or 29th would be fine with me! @Andy: I don't like bananas. I prefer ping pong balls instead, since I'm more the sportive type
  8. Looks like you guys had a great time again! Stephane, please post the pics with the strippers. Or didn't they show up because of what happened last year???
  9. Officially I can't say I do too, but deep inside me..... oh well
  10. Still have great memories on the past 2 events. Such a wonderful companionship I wished I could be with you guys again, but I'm afraid I have a band gig on the 12th....
  11. Why are we talking watches in this topic?
  12. Hola amigo, congrats on this great Franken (what's in a name, lol)!
  13. Very sad to hear this, R. Take care!
  14. This looks like gen to me and somebody got a real good deal here. I used to own the rep of this old (Tachymetre on dial, brushed ss) version of the Link Chrono. I sold it to finance the gen new model (Tachymetre on bezel, polished ss) The word Automatic is correct. Sometimes manufacturers pre-release a promo pic which is not a 100% release version. The rep has a bigger bezel, different crown and bigger pushers. The first version of the rep also had an aweful Times Roman like date font, which was updated later. The first 2 attached pics are gens, the 3rd is my old rep.
  15. If I read between the lines of your original post you are looking for more than just a new pair of jeans. Sounds like you're in a transition from no interest in fashion at all to finding your own new style. The best advice I can give is to get help from your sister, best lady friend or anyone with good taste to find an overall style. Which could be ranging from a hip trendy style, a laidback baggy urban style or perhaps a more conservative preppy look. Most important is to find a style that fits your personality, lifestyle and age. After you know your new style go out shopping and take someone with you for feedback and help. Always fit your clothes. If you're not into the baggy style shirts need to be a good fit. Always check if a smaller size fits better. Get help if you're not sure. Jeans need a tight fit, since they will wear out and adapt to your body shape. I wouldn't advice buying from the internet unless you can send it back and get a full refund. Find out which colors fit your skin tone and eye/hair color best. Not every color will suit you. Be carefull with stripes and busy patterns. Some will enhance your bodyshape, some will make it worse. Also have accessoiries (shoes, belt, watch strap, bracelets, necklaces) match colors and style. Note that just a designer brand name doesn't say anything. Hearing Burberry makes me think of trench coates - not jeans as I wouldn't buy a watch from Boss or Armani either.....I know this sounds somewhat black and white, but you'll get the point. Good luck and above all have fun!
