  1. @ freddy, I meant that no one in my day to day life comments on my watches, not you guys. I felt it weird for non-watch people to comment on what I am wearing, that all I was saying
  2. freddy that second pic is awesome, its like a double dome... TTK noobmariner with newly adjusted CG's... no one ever comments on any of my watches, and already today 6 people, 5 from my office and one on the train have commented... weird...
  3. @dems I totally agree. Crash is another one that makes me feel that way. Great comment and great films.
  4. now we are talking... again, I could not choose 3 movies or films, just too many that I would watch everyday for the rest of my life. Here, I will name some I didnt see above, in no particular order: Life is Beautiful, Wings of Desire, Adaptation, Fargo, magnolia, memento, Jurassic Park (#1 only), Seven, Ray, The abyss, Das Boot, Children of Men, The Jerk, Desperado, Sneakers, Seven Years in Tibet, a river runs through it, American Graffiti, The Road warrior, man there are so many... I am a movie [censored]... another thread that would be interesting would be favorite director, that would be easier too....
  5. mmmm the mighty BR-02. Mine is not with me right now, or I would be wearing it...
  6. I just got an email from photobucket this morning about their new offerings. Linking more easily to social networking sites and such. I think they are trying to drum up buisness and I think it is wrong. Good luck with the issue BT.
  7. dluddy, I am going to have to come over and try that one on. the date look awesome... were did you source it?
  8. nice peice noel, but I would say that is more like an air king than an explorer, BUT that is also another choice for the ladies in our lives... one question, if it is her watch, then why are you wearing it?
  9. eco diver today, need a rest from SS... oh and if anyone is looking for a gen DRSD, one is for sale at a very reputable dealer near my office for $26k. I am going to see it today hence the gen.
  10. olive oil is for food, not watches. there are many bracelet refinishing threads on the board, but please save the evoo for the cooking... oh and nice pics...
  11. what the well is that thing... it should be under that hammer, not on it...
  12. there is a UK based dealer that only can sell/ ship in the UK that has the ss and pvd straps in rubber and canvas. I wanted a canvas strap, but I would need a uk connection to send it to me in conus. someday...
  13. Gen lume is blue. Rep is green. Biggest tell. If you are I'm the UK you can getna get strap very easy. Fixes the buckle. I love mine. It's on it's way to being perfect right now. Good luck with yours.
  14. great review and pics. one word of warning, olive oil will "lube" your bracelet, but it is plant based and will start to spoil after a while. I have used mineral with success, and it does not spoil. wear it well
  15. It better be a real eta for what they are asking. Can anyone chime in ok the matter?
  16. I am not sure how much longer I can hold off buying this one. With the swiss eta is is nearly gen. But it's alot of $ and the price has not budged. Even a copy eta movement would be cheaper. Ugh it's all lani's fault.
  17. Nanuq, I actually like the modern dial, but I like the non sel bracelet better. I do like a good plastic crystal though... Not mine, but someday... one thing about the EXP I that I dont 100% love is the lack of a date. makes me look at my phone if I forget the date. other than that, it is just about perfect.
  18. As an owner of the "petite" EXP I, I would suggest when buying that you get one with a swiss eta. My EXP I is my most accurate watch (timing wise) and I do believe it is due to the fact that it is a gen swiss eta movement. here is a pic of mine, I actually would like to build a franken with a none SEL bracelet. Good luck with your purchase oh and its not that "petite". its a very comfy watch to wear, and a perfect smaller sized watch.
  19. I should not ask, since I did not post any movies, but "The Butterfly Effect"? Really?
  20. sporting this combo tonight, and tomorrow as well.
  21. I hate to bandwagon, but in all seriousness, it would be a great white. I adore the watch, and it is everything I look for in a watch. I also agree with Stephane, it might need a gen movement
  22. this could be an interesting thread to watch... no pun intended. There is no way that I could decide on 3 or even 6 movies or films ( to me there is a difference). now if someone started a thread of movies that I do not need to see again, I am sure I could name a few. Oh and to put a twist on things, for those that have a favorite movie/film, did you see it in a theater or on your home screen? for me it can make or break the movie/ film.
  23. as dluddy said, it is a beautiful day here in NE. and even though the US lost to PR in the WBC, this kind of weather gets me pumped for nights like this... So I am wearing this and hoping to get tickets to my favorite place on earth for sports...
