  1. I'm sorry, maybe I'm wrong but car branding on a watch doesn't make sense to me. It cheapens the car brand and the watch brand. I mean, I literally can't look at a Porsche design watch and take it seriously, no matter how good a watch it is. And I will never want (I almost said 'buy' but realized that's ridiculous since I can't afford it) anything with Ferrari's branding on it. Even a Ferrari. Guys who drive Ferrari's are trying to compensate for something.
  2. This is probably more hilarious because I'm drunk right now.
  3. This is a test of the profanity filtering system. this is only a test. damn, [censored], ass, pussy, [censored], [censored], [censored], hell, [censored], douche, [censored], poop, [censored], [censored], jizz, [censored], [censored], gash and [censored].
  4. Sweet, haha...assholes got through the filter!
  5. I just thought all of you [censored]wads should know that you are all [censored] breaking rule number 8. That's [censored] [censored]. It really [censored] pisses me off when [censored] douche wads can't follow the [censored] rules. What the [censored]? [censored] you assholes.
  6. And I think the Panerai would actually be my second favorite...
  7. My favorite: My second favorite: My third favorite (just got it and haven't taken decent photos yet): And even though you said you don't like them, I think you should still give it a look: I've done 3 reviews so far. The Tag review is coming but I've been too busy the last few days to write it. It's coming soon: http://www.rwg.cc/topic/142483-review-panerai-pam-177-titanium/page__fromsearch__1 http://www.rwg.cc/topic/142966-review-omega-planet-ocean-42mm-orange-bezel/page__fromsearch__1 http://www.rwg.cc/topic/142480-review-rolex-deep-sea-sea-dweller-dssd-ultimate/page__fromsearch__1 Maybe they will help you decide...
  8. I know this is a really old thread, but i found it on a search for removing my AR coating and wanted to add what I think is some good input. I purchased the 42mm Omega Planet Ocean. It's a beautiful watch, but the other day I must have had my watch up against something metal and scratched off some of the outer layer AR. You could barely see it, but when I noticed it, that's all I could see from then on. Eventually I think I'll get a new AR coating put on by chieftang. But reading his section, I gather he doesn't do runs very often. So I decided to remove the top coat of AR so it didn't look bad, did a search and found this thread. I had three things that I used in doing this: 'Turtle Wax' brand rubbing compound, 'Kwik' brand scratch remover, and 'Neverdull' polishing cotton. The rubbing compound was the most abrasive, then the scratch remover, then the neverdull. The first thing I did was tape off the whole watch, then using and exacto knife, I carefully cut around the edge of the bezel where it meets the crystal and pulled the tape off. I used a small squeegee to push the tape securely around the bezel. I then used a mix of the rubbing compound with the scratch remover. This did a pretty good job of getting off most of the AR, although it took a good 20-30 minutes of firm polishing with an old t-shirt. The neverdull did an outstanding job of getting the rest off and leaving the crystal with a nice brilliant shine. The end result is really outstanding. There's definitely more glare off the crystal, but it doesn't look bad at all. And it looks a thousand times better than with the scratches. I'd love to get this AR'd, but now I can wait until chief does another run. Hope this helps someone else!
  9. Here's a little taste until i have time to actually write the review:
  10. Well my wife is at a conference in Vegas for the week (lucky!), so I've had the "Mr. Mom" duties. So unfortunately I've been too busy to write the review, but it's coming. Hopefully early next week. Here's a wrist shot until then:
  11. I was considering putting my 42mm up for sale to buy the 45mm as well. It just looks a little "dainty" compared to my other watches. But I don't think I can do it.
  12. Mine just arrived today. Same issue with the bezel screws, but on mine it's only the ones at the 3 and 9 o'clock. It doesn't jump out at you but if you're looking you see it. They do turn though, so it was an easy fix to just line them up. Barely had to turn them at all. I do have some other complaints, but overall, they're minor. It's such a cool looking watch. I'll write a full review tomorrow with some close up photos.
  13. I'm going to try to change your mind with my next review Ade!
  14. I just got the Tag Aquaracer 500m. It's beautiful! one of the coolest looking watches in my opinion. I got it late today, so haven't taken any photos yet, but tomorrow after work I'll start working on the latest review. Thanks! I do enjoy writing them, glad you guys enjoy them.
  15. I think you hit the nail on the head with "D-Bag".. Punks Tag and Panerai but gushes about Rolex. Then for some reason feels the need to flash a photo of a Mercedes in his intro and credits to try to give himself some credibility. And goes with the E Class? Not sure he knows anything other than his bud has a hot Asian wife. D-Bag. For sure.
  16. Mmmmmmm.....scotch Sweet...my 300th post was saying "Mmmmmmm.....scotch"
  17. Yea, the question was "who's more respected than Zig?" I threw it out there... Guess no one's buying it!
  18. They attempted delivery today on my newest watch, and I'm dying that i couldn't be here! But it only took 6 days from the ok on the QC email til the first attempted delivery. That's been pretty average for Andrew (in my limited experience).
  19. Oh, wow. Well, on the limited amount of watches that I've purchased, their prices were within $20-30 of everyone else. I guess I just haven't seen those kinds of price differences yet. But my point was that I'll always pay a premium for the peace of mind that comes with good service. Although a hundred is pushing it!
