  1. Starting the weekend with my 192
  2. Thanks Takashi, I was hoping you'd see this thread!
  3. Sorry, I really am not sure if it will or not.
  4. Stay away from the TWP 192. It is $hit, plain and simple. I you'll notice, there isn't even a Tachymeter ring, the markings are painted on the dial. Looks ridiculous.
  5. Summer is fading fast, and I don't know how much wrist time this orange beauty will get over the next 6 months...
  6. The picture you referenced is from a Ti Avenger that came from a different factory. It didn't take a step back, it is simply a completely different watch.
  7. I agree with Zig. If the screws fell out by themselves it would be a good idea to epoxy them all back in place however.
  8. pic 1 is the 2nd generation and pic 2 is the 3rd generation. The 3rd gen has the proper positioning of the date font, but as I pointed out earlier, they decided to shring the 3, 6 & 9.
  9. The 3, 6 & 9 are all too small. The crown is likely too short (usually are when they leave them unscrewed like that). There really isn't much that is accurate, all stemming from it using the wrong movement, but its a nice piece. If I didn't have a couple of POs, I'd probably consider getting one.
  10. That is one sexy ass watch my friend! Congrats!
  11. Looks to be a genuine Colt Chrono Automatic from the late 1990s
  12. Problem is, this watch does not take a swiss 7750 ($300), but would need a 7753 ($600). At the end of the day you would be looking at a $1000 rep with a host of flaws. My advice would be to go with the Silix version. This watch will always have obvious flaws, so there is no sense in nitpicking. The Silix version is pretty close to the other versions at a fraction of the price.
  13. Seems to be tough to find a decent rep of this strap. Elliot seems to have a "Tantalium" strap that appears to be the right color, but it has a sewn in buckle. Are the sides of the gen strap dark or are they the same color as the top? Anybody want to point me in the right direction? I'm definitely not spending $200+ on a strap!
  14. I've only seen the genuine 45mm black PO on a brown croc strap, and I must say that I really liked it. In my opinion, when you buy a rep you should always get the bracelet for that watch. The rep straps are usually crap anyway. There are plenty of sources for good leather straps, but to purchase a bracelet after the fact is a pain. I would look at Bobs Breitling tabac croc strap. Looks to be a great match withe the PO!
  15. Yes, the $150 Silix rep is very similar to Trusty's $268 version Slight differences include : - no keyline around orange triangle - differently shapes markers at 3,6,9 and 12 I would save some cash and go with the Silix version.
  16. Don't count on that price, When I went to order a Timewalker Chrono that he had advertised everywhere for $230 shipped, he informed the the price had risen to over $270. I told him he should update his posts and website, but several months later the remain unchanged.
  17. Hey Pug, just wanted to thank you for this post. It allowed me to take your tutorial one step further and remove and straighten the horribly crooked pearl on my black PO. Take apart guides like this give one the confidence to take on projects like this without the fear of surprises. Thanks again mate!
  18. Unfortunately I have only one spare set, and I want to keep those for obvious reasons. As for dealing with Josh, I had never had any dealings with him either, and he was very helpful to me. Its worth a try anyway!
  19. As far as the strap goes, I'm looking at this one. Not sure if the color is right though?
  20. So the gen never came on a Tantalium bracelet? another one for ya btw...
  21. Come on guys, I thought one of you Panerai experts would be able to answer this by now! Here's my 192 by the way!
  22. Sweet watch, did you buy new or used?
  23. Silix is offering the SS Big Bang with 28k 7750 for $220. I'm not a big Hublot fan, but at that price it may be worth thinking about! http://www.silix-prime.com/product.asp?id=1860
